Xbones aren't because the security is better and no one cares. Xboxes are the general go-to for any sort of media center, and Xbox 360s can be hacked but they need specific models and specific things to do it on top of the system pretty much getting insta-banned from Microsoft's servers if it detects an irregularity and it bans the whole console, not just an account.

Step 1 is ensuring you have a sata port on your mobo.

Step 2 buy a sata transfer cable (very cheap)

Step 2 is downloading the soft you need. Specific to each drive but it can be found out pretty easily without opening the thing up.

Step 3, open your xbox up, remove drive

Step 4 plug drive up with the transfer cable to sata port on pc.

Step 5 run software flasher

Step six, reassemble (really its just putting the drive back in with the screws and shit)

You can force most speedfly plugins to work on their US/EUR counterparts if you hex edit the JP regions ID out in favor of the other, my stella glow plugin shouldn't work on eur but I made it anyway.
