Exploration is fucked, there are no relic sites at all and data sites are inconsistent. Most of the time they drop less than a million from an entire site, then sometimes you get a 60 run augmented praetor blueprint.

I think skill injectors sort of even the playing field a bit. Everyone can grind Isk if they want. It's gonna take a few months for a new player to be able to afford them but catching up isn't that hard.

One of EVE's problem was that high SP players were drawn to corps with other high SP players and corps full of newer players couldn't really compete because they didn't have access to the same tools.
First it was large T2 guns outranging everyone and later caps and supercaps, now a group that wants to play with the big boys can do so without waiting for x years until they have the SP.

Best t1 exploration frigate? I heard faction choice doesn't matter too much, but it does if I want to train up into covert ops and farther so I want to do it right. From glancing at them, the Magnate or Imicus looks the best.

Hopefully I can ditch t1 as quick as possible then and move on to covert ops. 11 days wasted just to have 2 more mid slots doesn't seem worth it. Besides, doing some research seems to show the Purifier is the better stealth bomber if I want to get into that. (which I might after I get funded)

The faction matters.

If you want to do full clears, you want boats with selectable damage gypes, i.e. golem or vargur.

Even if you do missions near lowsec, if you get standings high enough, you can afford to decline the bad missions and the ones sending you to LS. Never take your expensive missioning boat to LS.

The entire Goon alliance has metrics on activity and you will get kicked for being inactive or a useless fuck but there are no *mandatory* fleets or Ops per say.

There are activity requirements, like in Karma its something like 3 fleets every three months. Which is really nothing, and more often then not you will be wanting to join up on the smaller scale fleets just because its fun and a good break.

It's all dependent on the corporation too. Like my corp has 3 Fleets (paps) a month but we also have a very low tax rate compared at 10% vs karma and most other corps at 15%.

If you're new and want to run missions optimally just follow the skillplan in the Anize Oramara blitzing guide.
If you already fly a Paladin or don't really care about Isk/hour run Amarr missions.
