The problem with cheap mouse pads is their size. You just can't get big ones by generic brands. Their surfaces and whatever will generally be fine, but being tiny 10cm by 10cm just makes them unusable.

A good mousepad and mouse is the most esential part and more important than a good headset or keyboard imo. I bought a new mousepad just when I bough Overwatch in summer and the difference is huge. I used to use one of those cheap plastic ones with a sports club logo on and the thing moved around my table instead of my mouse mothing on the thing. It was way too small too.
Now I use this. Sticks to the table, mouse moves gentle on it, my wrist is comfortable and it only cost me like 12.99. Nothing fancy but I'm happy

I bought into the low sense meme after seeing Ryujehong play with a huge as mousepad. I bought a 40x45cm mousepad for 10€ and lowered my sens to 2200 DPI and 1,33 in-game. It improved my accuracy playing Ana a bit, but not much. However I it makes tracking with characters like Zarya a lot easier.
