I kinda want to go back and beat Awakening in Lunatic mode after I've finished PoR and RD.

Is there like some kind of good guide for it? Because I noticed the first few chapters before easy grinding are insanely tight and pretty much need god RNG to make it through unscathed. Is there RNG manip in Awakening? I've never used it before, but after seeing some RNG abuse speedruns I think that would be a fitting way to deal with a stupidly bullshit difficulty level. As far as I'm aware there's no RNG manip in Awakening like there is in games like FE5 or 6

Basically you want to take Robin and stand on the Water tiles, facetank the Mage until he dies, and then feed all the kills to him/her so they get overlevelled via Veteran and nothing can attack them (since only Robin and Chrom can stand on water tiles)

If you're just trying to get to the Goyim Gate then Frederick can potentially carry you, provided he hits Str/Def enough

But I keep getting shit on in chapter five. Stupid babby and horse babby appear and get murdered straight away. I'm not sure if I'm going to be even more screwed over in the future if I let anyone die, so it's incredibly difficult to know what the fuck to do, because with my current army's stats it's a completely unwinnable battle.

I had to (or at least felt the need to) restart my file a few times to even get up to chapter 5 without any deaths. There's gotta be a good guide somewhere, even if it's just a well justified "level these guys" chart.

I got to the gate and proceeded to have my shit pushed in by the free Marth map. The reeking box maps are hardly worth shit, and the few ancient Streetpasses I still have on my map consist of super high leveled monsters and allied NPCs dying at eachother, MAYBE allowing me to get a single kill. I do have some ridiculous weapons in my convoy, I forgot where from, but they don't help for shit against the swarm of god-grunts that just blow through my underleveled paper mache units.

I'm not even sure it'll be satisfying in the end anyway, because of all the grinding, arbitrary Streetpass bonus bullshit and of course potential for DLC. What's a good FE challenge you guys would recommend instead?

Trade Robin's Bronze Sword to Fred, pair Chrom with him, have him march forward with the Bronze Sword killing things

Switch to the Silver Lance to hit Mages to avoid getting countered

Pretty much nothing can kill Fred this chapter if you play right

Pair Fred with Chrom, sit on the lower Fort, laugh as you kill everything

The only threat is the Hammer Fighter, but on the Fort with the Bronze Sword he has abysmal hit (pretty sure it's single digit % if Fred procced Spd/Lck on his first level)

Also make sure you trade Virion's Elixir to Fred by the chapter end

This is where Str/Def levels help a lot; pair Fred with either Sully or Stahl and throw him in the middle of everything with the Silver Lance, and use the Elixir to heal until everything is dead

Move the scrubs into safe spots as much as possible, if an enemy breaks off from Fred then Chrom or Sully can live a single hit due to not being doubled

Talk to Kellam with Chrom and then move them back out of enemy range

Pair Kellam behind Fred and have Fred take his Javelin, he'll 2RKO everything to the left and take hardly any damage in return

Then run in with the scrubs and pick off the weakened enemies, while running Fred to the right to facetank the next group that will be coming for you now

At the top level it's easy, you can just aggro them and leave Fred in the doorway to kill everything (just watch out for the Hammer Fighter)

It's a cakewalk now, Fred with Kellam laughs at damage from pretty much everything minus the Mages, even Marth

Streetpass won't get you exp, ignore it. Especially since after a really early chapter you'll be facing maxed out monsters/risen with silver swords forged beyond what you can actually do in game with maxed out stats like they got a perfect level up every single time

I don't think the exp dlc gets you much either.

You want to rely on abusing healing to funnel as much exp into chrom/MU in the first couple chapters

None of them matter
Literally every unit that is not Olivia, Frederick (early on), Chrom, MU, Lucina, and Morgan exist to stall the enemy and set up kills for those previously mentioned characters. You don't want them to get exp because that's levels that could be going to them, if they die they served their purpose of getting the important ones stronger, the "everyone must live" mindset isn't really important in lunatic and it's downright wrong in lunatic+

In my experience Anna hits decently hard but dies to a light breeze (HP growths and values seem really low in Heroes)

Sharena's easily the best of the three IMO, decently-rounded stats and Rally Attack saved me on multiple occasions

Does anyone else have a Lissa who's a bit of a fucking tank? Seriously, my 3 star one is 18 defense and is second in my roster behind my 3 star Oboro (with 20 defense) in the stat.

It's actually nice because I also have a 3star Serra I've leveled, but her defense is pretty bad, instead preferring Attack and the ability to hand out buffs to those around her every turn. Having the two very distinct choices of healer is nice.
