If you are not paranoid about your last roll, might as well complete the first chapter to get three extra orbs. If you don't give a fuck and want to reroll as fast as possible, only grab the 2 bonus orbs and do 4 rolls instead of 5. Also, root your device to get rid of the xml to faster your rerolls by a considerable margin. It might fuck up your app, though.

If you're fishing for a specific hero or two 5*s it's still better to skip the 3 orbs, adding a single roll doesn't give a significant increase to your odds of pulling something, especially since you have to do it all at once. You could get another 4 set in the time it takes to complete three missions, or if you're rooted or on Nox, you could get 3 sets of 4 in 10 minutes.

Mathematically it's just a poor time investment.
