Great concept and lore. Shit execution and insufferable main character that later gets easier to tolerate.

Some people don't like its pacing (too many cooking events apparently), but I don't mind that. Read it for a couple of hours and if you don't care about it, drop it.

Some will tell you to finish Fate route first before deciding, but I don't think it makes much of a difference. And falling for the "it gets good after 20 hours meme" can be very annoying.

It's not the same principle at all, VNs are the same thing even if they are translated or not. A book will never be on topic as it's another thing completely, the closest it could be is if someone remade it as a VN, but that wouldn't be the book. For a VN to become translated it's as simple as someone putting all the text through a MTL and that's it, it suddenly is on topic.

This rule is as arbitrary as it gets, and I hope I'm not the only one who realizes this. Don't bother responding, because I'm done.

At the time I had only really read about 10 VNs, so I didn't have that many choices, since for Nekopara I didn't have many favorites. I still don't because of how flimsy the VN is.
