I struggle the most against Forest as Shadow Aggro, probably the craft I hate playing against the most. Roach OTK is doable but the defensive decks that run Tia or Fairy Beast are a nightmare to deal with.

Is it a bad match-up or should I git gud? I mean, it's control vs aggro, but it's really popular at AA+ for some reason.

The Forest decks I encounter are very defensive (aka not OTK) so it's very annoying. From my experience, Daria isn't that popular anymore so I guess they can climb decently.

Yeah, what is your point? Mine is actually the overall problem of Runecraft, not Daria alone (though it is broken, and there have been reams written on exactly why). Runecraft was far more excusable when it only shut down one part of the meta. Now that it has shut down 2 out of 3 of the broad archetypes, the problem has taken on new dimensions. For the record, since you may not be aware of what I'm talking about:

D Shift was widely recognized as shutting control out of the meta in DE. Now the same has happened in RoB with Daria eliminating mid-range. The advice you will receive currently is: "play aggro and kill them before turn 6... er... 5" or "just accept your losses to D Shift and play control to feed off all that aggro". Statistically that may be fine, but I find the increasingly binary nature of matchups in Shadowverse really offputting. It just doesn't have to be this way. There have been card games where you have archetypes that are favored one way or the other without the match feeling like its decided purely on draws and what deck you see them playing on turn 1.

She is the coolest character, for sure. It's a shame the basic mechanics of Runecraft are so fucked beyond repair. It's very hard for them to make the craft "balanced" as long as they exist. 0 cost draws would be laughably powerful on any other craft, but for Rune they're just normal. That's not even something about Daria or D Shift, just a basic function of the class. Any spells they add to Runecraft, no matter what they are, will exponentially empower previous decks. It's a mess, in a way that other craft mechanics don't seem to be.

0-cost cards are broken. They did a great job limiting them overall in the game, unlike another card game. With Rune, they can't seem to avoid it. A brutal nerf would be to cap spellboost reductions at 1 for followers, but that'd be a drastic change.

One I can always think of off the top of my head is Duel of Champions, but it was shut down. Basically, the cynical analysis is that every modern card game is like Hearthstone because bad balancing is more entertaining for most people than something more complex and skill-based. I'm not sure I believe that it is intentional, though--I think it's rather that there is no positive financial incentive to make a perfect card game. It probably won't attract more players, and it might even push away new players if playing well is too difficult. High skill floor and low skill ceiling relative to each other are kind of desirable, I guess.

There hasnt been a game where I DONT draw my two bolts before the wolf and I just completely fold to faster decks near instantly. I cant really play a lot of my hand either because if I try to play my hand and end up with low cards then the silver bolts are fucking useless.

I got to AA3 playing wolfbolt, all the way through AA1 and AA2. The secret of success with the deck is not relying on your wolfs and bolts all the time and improvise with the card in hand you get. It's as simple as that. Turn 8 roach combo which does not kills the enemy but puts him pretty low, turn 9 3-5 damage Bolt to the face is a viable strategy, you don't always need your Bolts to be 9 damage for 0 pp. Just learn to pilot the deck.
