You didn't account for things like Marth having the Shield of Seals by the time has has the Falchion in NMTE giving him +2 everything and his WTA which is an extra +1 Mt.

A more accurate match up if you're using averages is 24 Str with 12 Mt vs Hector's 28 Def with the +5 Def from Armads.

If we're comparing them both in NMTE then Marth cleanly wins since he's likely to have A Rank swords by then which gives him a free +3 Mt since NMTE introduced the bonus Mt from weapon ranks mechanic.

In GBA it would be more down to whether or not Hector lands those hits otherwise Marth can just chip him to death.

Leif id good but not entirely for combat purposes. To start, he's unaffected by fatigue, which is great. The peak of his combat lies in the manster arc, where he, along with bryton and fergus, will be carrying your team. After that, he puts the king sword to good use as he won't really be partaking in combat. He also gets a hidden paragon after he promotes and his shoddy growths can be fixed by scrolls.

All depends on how the game can keep things fresh. The fact that every unit can go to 5* is actually a negative for the game's longevity desu, even though it's a cool feature.

People aren't going to spend enough money to keep the game afloat if they're ONLY pulling to get the units they like, they need to motivate people by releasing new and more powerful units. Power creep is an unfortunate fact of mobage, and the game has to handle it right.
