So, how strong is MCH damage endgame? I always see them at the top of parse, and it's so consistent their DPS it's crazy. That's the main thing though, consistency.

I'm really considering experimenting with one. The job itself never really appealed to me, but who knows I might be missing something fun.

I like all of these except your changes to Divine Veil, Clemency, and Flash.

Divine Veil should affect the user, maybe, but the heal should still be a part of it.

Your idea for Clemency is dumb, just make it even better than it is currently, and even go ahead and give PLD another manual cast healing spell. All you're doing here is turning it into a clone of Equilibrium, only I guess maybe you can shoot it at another player.

Change Flash from inflicting Blind, which incurs Diminishing Returns on duration to inflicting its own "Flash" debuff, and have it mitigate damage in some capacity. I think having Flash actually deal damage sort of defeats the purpose of it being Flash. At that point, they might as well get their own area of effect attack proper rather than shoehorning offense into Flash.

Switching Sword and Shield Oath SHOULDN'T happen, but it's going to, because shitters can't handle having to play a tank job without a handicap. You sound like the type who actually used Grit before Stone Vigil.

If you legitimately don't think Paladin is going to get a cleave or a beam in 4.0 you're legitimately delusional. There's no reason to shove arbitrary damage on old abilities, nor is there any reason to flatten out the few things that already exist that make it even slightly unique.

Believe it or not, you can add damage to the job while also not dumbing down Clemency. Make that shit a Power Cure, make it something that's actually worth dropping your personal GCDs to cast in a pinch. You want a real change for Clemency? Make it stronger and prevent from being soft-interrupted.

It often drives people away from the job when it changes drastically, and makes the other 90% of content awkward because you're essentially playing something else at that point. There is nothing wrong with making some kind of secondary system to modify existing skills to give players some build diversity. You are both missing the point. WHM isn't underpowered at all other than the fact it needs better mana management abilities, AST is just completely and utterly overpowered at the moment. They did this on purpose because no one used ast for the previous raid tiers and the wanted it to be the preferred healer for at least one. AST is not well designed and they'll be addressing overall healer balance in 4.0 hopefully.
