Just run whatever dungeons you can for Lore tomestones to get yourself up to i230, unlocking the 60 dungeons along the way. Most of the quests to unlock those that aren't in the MSQ will be in Idyllshire. MSQ will be at House Fortemps, and clear Alexander: Midas so you can unlock Alexander: The Creator to start getting i250 gear. After that, it's mostly grinding out Scripture tomestones and clearing The Weeping City of Mhach so you can run Dun Scaith for i260 gear.

BRD is really really fun in Seize. I've been playing mostly BLM up to now, which is also fun, but trading a bit of damage for the mobilty of BRD has been a lifesaver. Warden's Paean, Repelling Shot and Shadowbind can get you out of a LOT of bullshit lol. BLM can do that too but only if you have an ally to Aetherial to, I feel a lot less reliant on my team as a BRD.

This is a game post.

Ive liked playing DRK some here and there. But im a tank noob and this may sound stupid. But when is the best time to use Def cooldowns? I always feel that i just kinda mash them out whenever and im never really sure when its best to use them.

For example is there a enemy threshold where something like shadowskin or dark dance isnt really needed? Or something like convalescence. Is it better to use at the start or on reaction when health gets low?

I figure its at least okay that i actually use them. But at the same time i dont want to waste them in situations that they are kinda a waste of CD (At least i sometimes feel it is).

Like the other guy said it's something you learn through practice. As a habit you should focus target bosses to see their ability casts or learn when they are gonna do move x or y based on visual cues or cast order. Also remember the game operates on server ticks, so if you wait until the absolute last second to mash a cooldown it may not apply when the damage goes out.

I'm a healer main, but in a dungeon situation with a big pull you want the tank to activate big CDs (or a combination of a couple lesser ones) and conv early on during a big pull, and then you use shittier ones if needed as the pack of mobs gets whittled down. For bosses there's not really a rule like that as it varies so much from encounter to encounter. Generally speaking it's better to use your CDs early and often as opposed to saving them "just in case" or trying to activate tons of shit in a usually futile effort to stave off an imminent death.

Crystal Tower and its raids aren't dead, because they've got a weekly that people still do for the Aether Oil from it. The slowest part will be the FATE step, but Labyrinth of the Ancients, Syrcus Tower and World of Darkness do pop on Chaos and Primal, and I think people here have mentioned them popping on Aether so I think you'll be okay if you get the FATEs out of the way

Honestly, both game modes are boring to me. Seize is hugely RNG favored and Shatter is for shitters. I just get bored doing the same thing over and over and over and over but objectives are objectives and I enjoy winning so they can't be ignored. I do Frontlines with friends and seeing them ignore objectives makes me so angry and after 4-5-6 losses in a row I begin getting mad at them. It's not their fault we lose, but they certainly contribute to it.

I actually kinda enjoy the RNG, and even when you're fucked you can still take out a win. I only ever play with Rin personally and she does really well as White Mage. About the angriest I get is when you have like 10+ dudes with you, you go in against the enemy, then realize absolutely nobody is following you and you just get instantly blown out.

Yes, I play with lots of people and mob mentality rules here. If you have 4 or 5 people doing the wrong thinghs on purpose then the rest of the alliances will likely follow and once you have enough people doing that, it just doesn't get better. 90% of the people who go into frontlines are followers and once you set the precedence by bringing in a bunch of people you know are going to not do shit, you automatically sabotage your team. I'm getting mad just typing this.
