i was picking up a warhead and i had 80% health, enemy butcher with 100% health popped out of a shadow, noticed me standing there with my glowing axe and my cool as fuck master skin and then immediately turned around and noped the fuck out of there
i saw enemy valeera run cloaked around me and never engage even when i was at like 40% health, pretty much everyone just ran away
it was hilarious, but made me feel kind of bad at massacring them
am i the only one? when the enemy team is getting completely steam rolled i always feel bad for them

Dota 2 made them into NYX NYX NYX NYX and Weaver.

Part of the thing that turns off shitters from laning in Dota is the turn rates and denies.

They just want to autoattack creeps and pull off some sick MLG harass plays while diving behind the creep wave, but Dota punishes you for sucking at last hitting and getting out of position. So they go jungle for guaranteed last hits. That or they pick invis shit like Riki and just sit in lane all day praying nobody buys wards. Invisibility = Invincibility.

Going back to HotS, this is why all the shit pub Novas just sit around the sidelines doing nothing all day because they're either way out of position and/or they don't like it when people react to getting shot at by shooting back. They'd rather watch their team lose 4v5 than take a risk by showing their face.

That's why I say stealth pubs hate pvp. They want mad sick kills. They can get that in bot games but bots bore them, but dealing with humans who might know better and shoot back is too hard. And so you and your team get to suffer for their selfishness.

The skill point mechanic is interesting but needs more work in my opinion.

Q, W and E are too similar to each other. It doesn't look very interesting in your current build. I think you need to make her basic abilities more varied.

You also have to make sure she's VERY different from Li-Ming. These characters are so similar already that I believe it can only be achieved by making your Sorceress NOT an assassin. Specialist or Support could work.

Blizzard and Meteor look pretty bland as ultimates. Mechanically speaking, other characters in the game already have them.

Otherall, I'd say you've put a nice amount of work in this but that you didn't think enough about the game mechanics. Other than the skill point system and the way you can improve your spells through talents, your whole concept is pretty unoriginal and unvaried. I'm sure you can improve it!

Is Zarya worth having as a pick in comp?

I like playing her, lets me actually translate giving a shit - in wanting to save my pub teammates - to something productive in a teamfight, and farm energy to laser down buildings and camps. Being able to instantly blow up a Blackheart chest is a nice bonus too.

But I just never seem to do well in QM pubs, and it seems like the Graviton Surge is kind of worthless on heroes like Illidan because they seem to be able to just dash or blink out anyway so she's not that great for lockdown at all. I know in Memewatch, Zarya's success in a pub game is highly dependent on her teammates but even if that's true in HotS too, I wonder if there are better tanks to pick even with a good team.

I am 10 heroes away (including both Cho and Gall) from hitting lv 5 on the whole roster so I can probably start queue'ing HL with the f2p rotation heroes and what few I already own soon, so now I'm trying to learn how to draft with what I got and/or if I'm going to need to buy a couple heroes just to be able to not bring down the team during draft. Zarya's one of the ones I already have, I just want to know if she's a good tank to have in comp or if I should look at someone else.
