Anticheat has and always will consist of a game of cat and mouse. Anticheat is a non solution to the cheating problem. Anticheat works by modifying strings in the client each time a cheat author figures them out, pushing the patch out, banning cheaters and then it's a race by the cheat authors to locate the new strings and update. What cheats that do plague PoE are the ones that

1. let players cheat death -- easily solved problem as already described in first post
2. let players know location of everything in the map immediately and the position of all mobs and dangerous monsters before approaching them aka a hud

Number 2 can be solved doter 2 side but that would require not trusting the client with info that's needed in order for the client prediction model to work. Add this system and you must remove desync mode, from SSF leagues at least. And do you need desync mode for solo play? Not really.

What do you mean by this? Lockstep and client prediction models are two distinctly separate user selectable choices that feel distinctly different and behave technically and physically different.

The whole point is to use only the lockstep model as the other user selectable model isn't compatible with the pertinent data being server side. Desync mode must ping pong with the client to work thus it shouldn't be compatible with a doter 2 like map system aka as "fog of war".

If somehow fog of war worked with client prediction model then great I guess. The point is such a system is necessary or else SSF is just a cheater's paradise and pointless.

You aug for any suffix, doesn't matter if it's shit, then regal anyway and hope you get a t1 or t2 es prefix. If you don't then you scour and start over. You only block suffixes when you get to the exalting stage. For es armors there is nothing really to block; you use the master craft to fill or hold a suffix because it's a 50/50 chance on whether or not the exalt adds a prefix or a suffix. If you get a suffix with the first exalt then a mastercraft ensures you get a prefix with the next exalt. If you were to craft something like reflect with haku to prevent that prefix from rolling then you wouldn't be able to exalt another.

The reason you craft this way with ES gear is because the prefixes are what determines 90% of the armors sell value.

Hardcore Breach, no extra damage mods shaped shore map t13 easy rolled for easy exp.
Level 88 Chieftain SR-FS with 9204hp, capped res, 59% chaos res, 71% phys mitigation died in 0,2s to weird accident with boss at the side of the screen and couple srs'es flying around.
You might say - PoE is not balanced about life, go ES nub - but c'mon - character built like this cannot die within couple frames time.

It was hard decision, but I can't play so imbalanced game any further.
