How do you guys deal with burnout in the game?
I'm a new player and went to a total level of 1218 in about two and a bit weeks. I'm having plenty of fun but this week all my progress has slowed down into a very slow crawl. I started a quest and it took about 4 hours to finish because I just kept getting distracted by other things on the internet.
The issue is that I want to keep playing but I find my concentration levels dip very fast now.

Getting 1218 in 2 weeks is pretty decent if you are completely new. Sounds like you are having a normal burnout which happens to everybody in every MMO. Just take a break.

Usually though I set myself goals to achieve and since I have a habit of trying to be the best I can, it can get really convoluted and takes a long time which keeps me playing.

For example I wanted to kill QBD, So I wanted enchanted Excalibur and super anti fire, but I need a couple herb lvls and thieving lvls. So I raised those levels, did the achievement tasks, made the potions. Then I found out dragonbane is great for somebody without ascension. So I did an assload of quest for bane ore, then I found out how training invention works. So I got crafting and diviniation to 80 which involved another shit ton of quests, then I gathered materials to augment my gear and finally finished my preparation...about 6 months later when I set my goal of killing QBD. By that time I forgot why I even wanted to do QBD as it certainly wasn't for the money.
