Also it's mostly because normies being the cancer of society like they are are stuck a few years behind in terms of non normie culture. In reality, it's because it was one of the first big fandoms to blow up that brought the connotations of furrys and the negative stigma that came with it, for a lot of people, it was their first exposure to things like OCs. In the same way that modern teens might be introduced to it via a game like undertale, or homestuck. Their infamy will live on mostly because the normies that make up too much of our population will spread the stigma.

Kintobor changed his name and is trying to start a new life. Looks up to his grandfather, Gerald, and tries to ignore his thoughts of world domination and stuff.

This is the start of Sonic and Nicky co-existing as two personalities in one body. Eventually, an accident occurs and Kintobor begins to succumb to his mad villainous thoughts and eventually Eggman is born.

Sonic and Eggman have multiple battles, and eventually Nicky learns that he's Sonic, and the two merge into one Sonic personality.

Sonic leaves Christmas Island in search of adventure. South Island becomes a favorite place to visit.

Sonic tries to form a band, it doesn't work out.

I believe that there's a multiverse, other realities existing alongside our own, with infinite possibilities. Sonic's world, Mario's world, etc, all exist somewhere out there in the Omniverse. (Omniverse being all multiverses), because infinite possibilities.

Because of the infinite possibilities thing, like anything we can come up with existing out there, then DC Comics saying that OUR reality is Earth-33 in the DC Multiverse, then that means we might really be apart of the DC Multiverse. And since the Speed Force only exists in the DC Multiverse, it means it could exist here, if all the other stuff is true.

I could be dead wrong about all of this, but I'm the type of guy that is willing to believe in almost anything, and there's really no way of knowing if this is true or not, so I might as well just continue believing that one day I'll actually tap into the Speed Force, combine that power with my knowledge and skill of electrokinesis to manipulate the lightning of the speed force and master super speed, and travel beyond time and space.

last i saw him he was basically an edgelord, so that sounds encouraging. Still, the echidnas had such a rich history and such, and enerjak was probably one of the best villains in the comics as well.
