Project Nevada has a combination of a few neat things for that, all configurable with MCM with the Extra Options part. Also has some AI edits, never looked at what the changes actually did.

More Realistic Aiming and Real Recoil work well with it, only uninstalled those bits because the shake fucks with shitty ENBs in a way that gives me a migraine.

Enhanced Camera and WAR for animations.

Puce Moose Tweak and Balance Center has a thing that lets NPCs notice when their allies drop dead.

JSawyer fixes DT and DR problems with armors that made the system pointless, not sure if other mods fix just that.

JIP Realistic Weapon Overheating, JIP Selective-Fire

Oh, and Collision Meshes, which lets you shoot through the holes in fences and stuff. Pic related, because holy shit, you have to shoot outside the red mesh for bullets to go anywhere, and lots of things have similar issues.

I can't see Yangtze Memorial until I'm almost right on top of it, pic related. LOD just isn't happening. I just regenerated LOD and nothing. Empty spot of dirt until the pop-in. I swear I haven't had this problem with FNVLODGen before. The only difference in files is that I uninstalled Vurt's WFO. There couldn't have been a patch for that that got left in there and makes it invisible, could there? I can see the LOD texture for Yangtze right here, too. Has also been happening with portions of cliffs and mountains.

Related note, is there a version of the NV map with a grid with the apparently 56x56 grid used? I shouldn't have had to use guesswork to find that mesh out of almost 300.

Anon, I've got a 4GB card and I was dropping down to 30 fps with Onix ENB. Of course, I also had the game loading 7 cells instead of 5 and dropping that down fixed those massive drops, but I'm still regularly bottoming out at 40 fps.

Please just let me use my own AA. At least the anisotropic filtering within the ENB is doing something this time.

Ah, true. Honestly the main problem for me is that if it drops too low, I start to get queasy, even more so if I'm in first person.

Try ENBoost? I wish I knew what settings had bigger performance hits compared to quality increase. I guess uGridsToLoad is one of those, with the number in the setting then being squared to get the number of cells actually then being loaded, 25 for default vs 49 for the next step up... but I love my LOD.

Gatling laser with Nuclear physicist is the cheapest ammo consuming weapon in the game.

What can I do to better the performance of my Fo4? It's got a solid 40+ frames in most places, but it still lags every little while and it shits itself in the city areas.

Turning off my ENB gives me back all of 2 fps and i don't have but a hand-full of mods enabled.

The floors have to be connected, and then you need to have the Vault Power Conduit on the wall, which will function as a radiating power source. Certain items will need a wired connection, like the management terminal thing, but lights will detect the power radiating from that conduit if you have it mounted. The floors have to be connected for that original 150 power source to be supplying power.

Explosive minigun with the faster fire rate barrel has the highest DPS in the game. The bullets don't do squat, but when you're dealing 30 explosive damage every 0.2 seconds that shit adds up.

Any recommended mods for tale of two wastelands/NV? Since I'm finally making the jump to it from just NV. (I have the hair brained idea that I want to play FO3, but fuck may as well play FONV with the same character right after)

It will probably install as a separate mod. Open up the original FCO (double click), go to the "optional esps" tab, highlight "FCOMaster.esm", then click the arrow pointing up.

Maybe reinstall FCO first (after making sure archive invalidation is checked). Grab the main file, "Fallout Character Overhaul 3.0", install that, then under "updates" get "Fallout Character Overhaul 3.01". Have that overwrite 3.0. If it installs as a separate mod, make sure that one is under 3.0 in the main list of mods. That's how you get textures to overwrite.

Sometimes it's a bad download, but yeah, the bug fixes moved to that separate mod.

Also don't use FOMM. If you install a mod through MO, only MO can see it.

Also list your mods, idk. I just got FCO working again after finding the specific NPC edits that were no longer included.

npcs have an organized list of items they will spawn with depending on your level

some mods take advantage of the system and copy them to their mod and swap out the vanilla gear with the modded ones, say if you're using spice of life npcs will spawn with those armors

conflicts arise when you have 2 or more mods that edit the same lists, this is fixed by running FNVEdit and making a merged patch, and loading it last. It makes sure anything can spawn on the edited lists, not just whatever mod is loaded last.

NVCE if you want zero hassle with installing and compatibility.
FCO is fine-ish, but relies on bug fixes from an external mod because there's a ton of bad file paths.
NVR3 relies on an even more fucked up version of FCO (at least just the textures and stuff, not the plugin), and has a lot of edited bodies, mostly corpses. I like the concept of being able to see injuries that were otherwise just mentioned, but there's a lot of "See, her clothes are torn open, she was obviously raped and then killed! So horrible!", and lots of vague attempts at lore that weren't fully thought out so they end up breaking it, like the captures in the Fort like I mentioned last thread, and in the inner part of the Fort right as you walk in there's giant cages with captures standing there sobbing. Like they thought "Oh yeah Legion means slaves! Let's stick some slaves in there. So tragic." only to forget that it's a fucking military camp, the only slaves are going to be the ones that are already useful and don't need to be locked in a fucking kennel. Pic related, didn't save a screenshot of the slaves in the fort. IIRC there was also shit like a naked slave on all fours in one of the small tents there, too.

I want to make another unarmed punching character, but one that is 1 int and 1 charisma. Literally embodiment of a Super Mutant angry retard. What are some mods that can make that worthwhile? Since the character will have so many dump stats, I kind of want something that makes SPECIAL above 10 do something, and also something that can make the unarmed perks not require X Melee (one main reason I had trouble completing some Speech checks was I had to dump so much into Melee).

I'm also looking for any general combat and balance overhauls. I heard After War Nevada was good.

Also if there's any mods that let you start off with brass knuckles or something I'd be happy.

Most of those situations, NCR either took their sweet time dealing with them or not responding all together.
Nipton and Nelson were under NCR control but were able to get overthrown very easily which as the BoS scouts describe as an unwillingness or inability to defend their borders.
Searchlight got destroyed right under their noses.

Talk to Hanlon and he'll tell you the Mojave campiagn was a mistake. "We're stretched thin and the Long 15 just keeps getting longer. Slower to get supplies. Slower to get reinforcements." "And even if we hold this dam, what then? Are we going to send NCR's men and women to die here for another five years? ten?"

People living Westside and Freeside don't want anything to do with the NCR and certainly won't hold the dam for them.

It's even stated by Raul and Cass that Legion is safer.

Unless the Courier sides with NCR and does all the quests that benefit NCR, the NCR made the mistake of coming to the Mojave.

Probably late to the party, but I installed a mod for that just yesterday. Covenant Peaceful Solution if I remember it right. The method to achieve it is kinda wonky, you have to perform the mission steps in a very specific order, but it works.

So maybe I'm doing it wrong, but this is the first fallout game I've played. Fallout4.

I have mods and shit and lots of stuff, played a stealth character, got the railroad stealth items and then got to the institute and oh cool. Sided with the institute and now there's nothing else to do.

I was level 50 when I got to the end of the game but the whole time I was wandering around and shit, and doing the DLC stuff I felt like it was all pointless. Not sure if I played fallout 4 wrong.

Thinking of starting again and making a melee only assassin or something and modding in some weeb swords and shit. Cause stealth with silenced Pistol and Sniper is pretty fucking OP.

There are much better AK mods out now. But MF is the only one doing AR-15 platforms right now. The only thing I'm using MF for now is its PSL and RPK.

I can't find the "AKM project" mod at the moment it looks like it's off nexus for some reason but the AK-74M pack by FX0x01 and his VSS/AS VAL packs are lovely.

The AK-74 pack by Master Shifu is pretty nice as well.

Be sure to grab the PSO-1 reticle by genocidacid too.

Honestly I dont have any complaints about the shitton of AK variants in MF. They served me well early game and aside from the animations where I insert a magazine through the side of the mag well instead of rocking and locking it in I enjoyed them. Especially the AKM series

At this point though Im way more excited about the H&K, FN, and DSA assets I'm coming across as well as the various BRs like the m14 and SCAR-H

Lovecraft liked to use family curses a lot, especially in his early works and we see that in the Cabot House quest. Also similar is a mysterious artifact that's of another worldly nature leading to madness.

As for Dunwich Borers, we have a lot of melding between the present and a dreamscape or flashbacks with the backstory being a secret society was running the company and they were attempting to unearth some ancient colossus until they too descended into madness.

Those are really the only two quests I recall being Lovecraftian by design. It makes sense they'd give him a nod considering he was from the New England area.

Tobacco users ingest nicotine which affects the area of the brain that releases dopamine. Whether they smoke cigarrettes or use dip does not change the chemical reaction. The only thing that changes is that smokers are more likely to get throat or lung cancer as compared to cancer in or around the mouth

Same goes for other substances as well. Opiate or opioid users can change the intesity of their high or the method in which they introduce the drug into their system, but it has the same overall effect. Only thing that changes is that the guy snorting it will be more likely to end up with a deviated septum, while the guy shooting up runs the chance of losing their arm to infection worst case scenario

I think Bethesda is a bit gunshy about ayyys being anything more than random encounters (like they have been most of the time) after the general hate the fanbase has for Mothership Zeta. Though most hate is less that it's ayyys and more thant just by design it's a slog that doesn't offer much. Like I said wacky stuff is fine just seems like allot of lovecraft from them as a whole, never read anything of his my self just going off of what I know and what other people have said.

Sort of related, there needs to be a list of mods that take advantage of script injection, especially for workshop items. Especially ones that don't use the word "script" on the description page. For SnapBeds it was only mentioned in the sticky, for instance. Is an uninstall holotape a sign a mod uses script injection?

New Vegas Bounties and it's sequels are fun, pretty straight forward but I liked them added some quests and a neat way to get caps mid game that isn't just gambling or selling shit.

Dunno about now, if people came up with patches for it, but last time I played with AWOP it was a mess. I crashed more often than not, raiders spawned without armor/weapons, etc. On a heavilly modded playthrough (which I'm assuming you have since you're following FaLiNV) I'd stay away from it. It adds many cool locations to explore, but imo the cons outweigh the pros.

JSawyer's pretty good. Balances stuff that PN does and does not. With PN-Rebalance disabled and the patch from here

I liked Enhanced Shaders, except for the fact I could not for the life of me get the anisotropic filtering in the ENB to work so I removed it from the settings and turn back on the normal one. Using Onix with RWL right now and that works for the filtering, but it has a much bigger hit on performance, and the "performance" settings didn't raise my frame rate, just lowered the quality.

For any ENB remember to do the extra steps for ENBoost.

Fear and Loathing doesn't have JSawyer probably because it uses the rebalance options from PN. A lot of it would have to be changed in the guide to work around not having that module to be able to use even JSawyer Ultimate.

If the lever action rifle was a legendary, then yeah legendary DLC weapons can appear anywhere, but their ammo, and normal variants can't for some reason. Thankfully there's a simple mod on the nexus and Bethesda.net that adds all of them to the loot tables, ammo and the weapons them selves, vendors too so you'll find it ASAP.

Far harbor could've been better and its forgettable.
Automatron is very short but if you have all the crafting perks robots are essential can be overpowered and badass in survival.

Overall is pretty meh. It doesn't add much to Fallout universe as a whole.

At full price? Fuck no. I got the Season pass back when it was like $20 and I almost feel cheated. If you paid full price for that shit, you'd be fuming.

The "workshop" add-ons are a complete rip-off. They feel like they were cut out of the base game and then charged extra for later on or even like they're paid updates.

Automatron also felt like it was part of the base game, but not as much. It was a cool concept but very shallow and disappointing.

Far Harbor [spoilers] had a really strong Point Lookout feel to it, which got me hyped, and it was decent enough, but again, shallow. Not much to it at all. The twist to it was, "OoOOoh, what if you're a synth and you don't know iiiit~?" but any evidence it tries to give you that you are a synth is just 4th-wall garbage. Stuff like, "But your memories only go back to the start of the game!" and shit like that.

Nuka World was the coolest-sounding one of all of them, and it did have a really cool theme park and a couple cool quests / items, but it had basically no story to it and only served to give you a shallow glimpse of something you should've been able to do in the base game: be a raider.

Honestly, none of the DLC imo were even better than the worst of the previous 2 games' DLC.

Repackage the textures. Speeds it right up. FO4 uses .ba2 files, which have actual compression and optimization and shit like that, specifically for textures. There's a tool that comes with the CK, gotta set the settings for textures though. And there's some sort of size limit before you should probably use a second archive.

They should have called it X-60 armor, made by something like "Fairbanks Dynamics", who were bidding for the replacement of the T-51. While the T-51 is a WestTec design. Hell, have a RobCo produced variant too.

Should have been 5-6 power armor suit variants in varying numbers. Industrial exoskeletons too.

I could totally see some bleeding edge design prototype design that would have cost 100x as much as a T-51 but with only 5% more capability and require near continual maintenance and tuning. Call it the X-35. It fails if it gets too hot or too wet.

The only version of MS I have access to is 1.0 open beta-3. The author left a huge disclaimer and made the note that MS 1.0 will only work with MF 2.4 as a required dependancy

If that is in fact not the case then it opens up another can of worms. If MS 1.0 is in fact compatible with MF 2.5 then what happens to the massive inventory ive already accrued?

To the best of my knowledge my only option is to delete 2.4 and then download 2.5. Theres no way that would go smoothly

hey guys, having problems with an installation that i think you can help with

a few days ago i installed fo4, and a bunch of mods. Nothing fancy, just a few balancing mods, no ENB. They worked just fine. The next day, due to an unrelated problem, I had to restart windows with an old, saved backup due to a hardware malfunction. So I reinstalled fo4, since this backup was before my fo4 isntallation date. However, now when I try to reinstall, it says "corrupt data files/.../meshes 2/ and cannot complete installation. I am certain it has to due with a texture mod I installed, but my game is not installed, so I cannot use nexus mod manager to uninstall the mods - this is because i dont have the game installed and thus nexus mod manager cant FIND the game to perform an uninstallation of the texture mod.

Basically, I need to manually remove these textures, but even though I have removed everything in my fo4 folders, the problem remains. Where should I start to resolve this?
