This series is so underrated. Mei x Kuon are great, the perfect tsundere dynamic.

XBlaze has good points, especially with Kuon and Mei, but the problem is Touya is largely uninteresting as an MC, and doesn't turn very tolerable until Lost Memories. Es is in the same position except less so, since at least she wasn't flat-out annoying in Code Embryo, and became a pretty fun character in Lost Memories all around.

I do hope we get Sechs as some point though, the things surrounding him were probably the most interesting things the games had to offer.

MC sucks and is annoying. I ignore him for the most part. But Mei and Kuon are perfect. Although I prefer Mei more for personal preference. Anyhow, they have attractive deigns, solid development, well-rounded personalities, and interesting interactions with each other. It helps I'm a sucker for bitter/hostile relationship between girls, especially in this case that have full-blown duel, bickering, and devised contrast that eventually progress to becoming buds. They can still get on each other's nerves as a sign of affection, which makes what they have more endearing.

Kuon and Mei were better or sure, though I didn't particularly care for them. Hinata was pretty bad.

Sechs was a really good concept in my opinion, since everything about him made for intriguing things. He possessed a weapon like no other which actually influenced his worldview, he was entirely dedicated to a task which while at first glance wouldn't even be all that bad, but took it to such extremes that you couldn't help but wonder why, and he possessed an alternate self like the protagonist, but that acted more like a friend than anything.

The execution was poor simply because of not going in-depth with these things, which is why I think him being explored further as a new character by even an Arcade Mode letting him interact with the more unique ones in BB would make for a good story. Not to mention it's easy to connect him to other major participants in the BB world itself, as he's shown competence in actually being able to deal with a lesser Black Beast effortlessly, possesses the same quality as the Kusanagi of the BB world, and basically exists outside time in a very fringe way.

Sechs was the evil counterpart of the MC, since they were both fake people but one went crazy and abandoned his humanity and the other decided to live as a human. I didn't find his weapon particularly unique; sure it allowed him to keep his memories, but it basically acted just like Murakumo in BB. And I don't think a few lines in an arcade mode would allow for much development. As for the lesser Black Beast, it seemed really weak. All it did was periodically eat a bunch of people in a single city; it was nothing like the Black Beast in BB.

By the way I just realized that Hinata is the Xblaze equivalent of The Origin/Saya. Both of them are utterly obsessed with the MC of their series and keep rebooting the world whenever he dies in order to try and get him to survive. Hinata's only traits were that she's a good but stupid girl that's utterly devoted to the MC.

Allowing it to keep his memories in what was an endlessly repeating world with a very clear cause made it easy to see why his intentions would be shaped the way it is. It made him basically an outlier in the world, honestly he reminds me of a BB character being put into an entirely different game for that reason.

I mostly just brought up the Black Beast because it means he's capable of dealing with it to begin with, something which very few throughout the franchise have been capable of doing. Seeing as how his powers are on a very different level, I'd say it's possible he can rival some of the higher viewed characters in BB, if not outright contest them.

Unlike with Touya, Sechs being an artificial entity just seemed like less of his character. His intentions were mainly built up on what he had experienced after that, and it served as as a trigger more than anything while with Touya it was his central conflict of mind.

But I certainly wouldn't want him to appear again. The whole point in Xblaze was that Touya was able to kill him in all timelines; bringing him back either as a copy or by time travel would just make the events of Xblaze feel meaningless. It would be as if a 5th Blazblue was made and Terumi came back and started trying to destroy Amaterasu again.

As for The Origin, she was embodied in a nice but klutzy girl that hung around the MC. It's just that she wasn't obsessed with him at the start of the series.

The events of XBlaze were mainly just to prevent the loop from occuring by preventing the Embryo from being fully destroyed. Sechs coming back wouldn't be the equivalent of Terumi coming back at all, as the grudge towards Terumi was much more personal for Ragna throughout the franchise. Sechs instead would be in a position where he's already been confronted and has a reason to attempt to view and rediscover the world as opposed to simply repeating his plans. In my opinion he easily makes for the most interesting newcomer to the cast out of the existing NPCs in the franchise. BB is all about events thought impossible happening, so Sechs passing being seen as something impossible makes for a good story.

If dead people always come back even when we are told that they've been really really killed this time, then who cares? The shift wouldn't be completely out of nowhere, and being in a world different from his own would give him direct reasons to spend time observing the world and evaluating what the proper cause for it, or perhaps even see himself as an outsider altogether.

An arcade route would let him interact with characters that can build upon his through dialogue, particularly Izanami, Ragna, and Noel/Mu-12. It would set a precedence if the franchise is to continue one day and make an appearance from him not be unwarranted, seeing as how he has potential relations to major participants in the cast.

The tips entry for Sechs says he bound his soul to the Kusanagi and that it still wanders the Boundary. All that's needed is a setup for him to return. I don't think he will any time soon though unless they plan to clarify the connection between Ragna and Sechs.

Off the top of my head, Relius mentions him in Rachel's CS Good End (?) Telling her to give Clavis his regards. Though in CS it was translated as Claudius instead of Clavis.
Not sure about Valk and Rachel though since I still need to go through the story properly, but there's probably a mention in the Valk/Rel fight towards the end.

Valkenhayn implies that Clavis intervened too much. Something happened in the time period between him killing Naoto and Phase 0. Maybe it has to do with Rachel. Because of the way the connection between Naoto and Raquel works, Naoto can't die but healing takes off Raquel's life force. If Clavis wanted Naoto dead, he'd have to kill Raquel first, or keep on killing Naoto until she died. And despite all that, Naoto has a life-link with Rachel according to his Act 1 arcade.
