Takeru dies at the end of Alternative, remember he was amalgamation of several different Takeru being kept together by Sumika, when Sumika is gone, he's gone too.
The Takeru at the end is a different Takeru that received part of his memories.
The ending isn't that bad, Alt Takeru could never lead a normal life, and he doesn't even belong anywhere, if he goes to some Extra world, he just replaces the Takeru of that world, and that's pretty shitty too.
