L-STAR in the SP is only one shot stronger than its MP version, so the buff is likely to make their damage output the same.

As for overheating, the SP version does overheat, it's just a different version that is very random with how many shots it has. It can go from zero to break anywhere from 35 to 50 shots.
The MP version is fixed at 35 rounds, 40 with extra ammo.

I wish the MP L-STAR would show its ammo count instead of the infinity symbol. Since the count is consistent, let me see how many shots are ready in the gun rather than only relying on the bar on the back of the gun.

I'd rather have a larger capacity and/or faster ammo regen rate, those would be nice. The L-STAR's output of shots is dwarfed by most other weapons. For a gun that's supposed to be about bullet saturation, it has one of the slowest "reload" times in the game.

The Devotion can vaporize you in 0.35 seconds at the slowest rate, 0.13 at the fastest. Unlike the R-97, it has no recoil at full auto and can snipe someone across the map no problem.

The R-97 can potentially kill at 0.22 seconds up close, and you're not going to kill shit after a few tens of meters with its spread and recoil.

*While the number of shots needed up close is the same, their difference in damage numbers still has an effect.
One headshot with the CAR up close is useless, it needs two headshots to reduce the number of total shots to kill down to three.
Meanwhile one headshot with the Volt will reduce the number of bodyshots needed by one.

Most of the ARs literally autowin any fight over 18 feet.

The EVA has a tiny zone where it excels, but is literally worse than any other gun in the game beyond that range.

It pairs well with pulse blade/map hack for this reason.

I agreed about the range limitation, but if you think that range limit somehow makes it require more skill than anything of what you listed then you couldn't be more wrong. It's not semiauto like in first game, so you don't get punished for misses as much, and you got spread so you don't need to aim as well. You need to be gud at going fast to close the distance, yes, but if anything EVA is one of the easiest guns when it comes to hitting a target then you are in range thanks to spread.

So a lot of the times while I'm playing, my ping will shoot up into the high hundreds and the game becomes unplayable where it just chugs along. I can move normally, but everyone else teleports short distances.

Yeah, although the Double Take is a weapon that requires you to ADS to use, so it's pretty much the worst one to practice with. Pick any SMG, shotgun, or assault rifle and go to town.

You're going to want to learn to ADS and shoot in the air eventually anyway, but if you're just trying to get used to it first I'd recommend using one of the guns designed for running and gunning.

Not him, but you're delusional. The EVA-8 is one of the most powerful weapons in the game. It sees regular use at a competitive level to the point where it's been on-again-off-again banned from play by those Reddit folks (who, whether we like it or not, are the only ones running tournaments). It's got an extremely forgiving spread, respectable range (insane for a shotgun compared to other "CoD-with-jetpacks" titles), and a mag size big enough to allow for a lot of fuckups while still picking up kills. It is a *fantastically* powerful weapon, in large part because it's so fucking easy to use.

There's nothing wrong with liking it. I like it. But to pretend like it's some high-skill weapon or something is ridiculous. Use it. Enjoy it. But stop trying to pretend you're elite because of it.

Well the first step is realizing you have a problem, so you're half way there.

Anyways I'm far from the best Ronin, but don't be one of those dolts, who just run up and smack with the sword, kite around with the shot gun, sword them to get them away if you don't have a dash (something you usually don't want happening) monitor them dashes, and the phase dash. Also the guard apparently works on shit coming from behind you too.

Personally my kit I prefer is Anomaly, for more phasing, don't have strong feeling for anything like over core or what not so go with what you want.

Protip for CTF, if you didn't already know, is when someone has a flag, and is on you, you can phase and they phase with you.

Block block and block some more. ITs ridiculous damage reduction without a limit. I'd recommend double arc wave kit for the extra dps. Run nuke eject but treat it like a last resort instead of a first option. Shotgun is really strong, unload it into their crit spots, use phase and your dashes to keep them turning. Also when you come out of phase have sword block up because if you come out into another titan or reaper WITHOUT sword block up you will die. General tip that arc wave will shut down Tone's particle wall and Legion's gun shield, its a hard counter to those abilities. When you're about to die phase and nuke eject, the phase gives it a little higher chance of actually catching some poor guy.

Why do people think they can just hop onto my Scorch like it's nothing? in a game of attrition I managed to get 235 points with 35 kills (I can't remember the rest) but every pilot just kept trying to jump at me every chance they got just to meet the spicy fist.

Don't get me wrong it was fun, but why are people so retarded in general?
