As far as 'Medievalish' fantasy senki series go with an MC who gathers and leads an army competently and has a personality+with gameplay and a decent plot+comfy dialogue/interactions there's Madou Koukaku if you can into moon.

Venus Blood series is pretty good too but I wouldn't play those for plot though they do have great gameplay.
