Magdk are fun as fuck and do serious damage but yeah you can see the sustain issues, it's a much harder class to master. Seriously idk how magplar ain't caught on as much as it should have, it so fucking forgiving to play, I guess new players hear it's top healer and are like well I guess it's shit at everything else then. On the other hand magsorc have always been pretty decent and they're about 3 weeks away from getting the best buffs they've gotten since 1.6

You're gonna have to eyeball it. 99% of the time if you dye mismatched armor the same color all the pieces will actually turn out completely different. I'm no big-time textures guy but I want to say it has to do with some kind of material overlay they put on top of the base textures.

Once you unlock enough dyes of similar colors (for dwemer you'd want starlight, hundings, and perhaps a few other golds) you can mix them together to get coherency among different pieces.

You should consider trying magblade again in PvP

You can be a fine tank as nightblade in PvP. Sap Essence is a must for sustaining your health. Consider the Rattlecage heavy armor set.

In the PC/NA guild we do VoM farm runs pretty regularly if you need that particular set, but there are plenty of good heavy armor sets for magblades.

That's not to say you can't do fine with 5 light either. It does help your magicka sustain but you will have to weave cloak a lot to keep damage off of you.

Dual-staff nightblades are popular right now, particularly frost staff. I'd like to think I had a lot to do with pioneering frost-centric nightblade builds. Used to be you would run dual-wield swords for the extra spell damage, but nowadays everybody wants that destro ult.

I don't know if I have the balls to run a magblade with out a resto staff. Being off-heals in PvP and having Healing Ward to save my ass is too good.

If you find a good group to run with, you can always make a living as a Vicious Death Bombblade. Go 5 Vicious Death, 5 Clever Alchemist and 1 piece Molag Kena and with a good group to support you, you will wreck shit.

Tons of options for magicka nightblades in PvP.

Make sure you run detect pots!

I don't really play a lot of dungeon content in this game or am really competitive. Why is it considered bad to use a bow in a dungeon, and why hasn't the dev made it viable?

I just can't help to feel a little disappointed that I can't play that well as the 'marksman guy' if I wanted to. This was never an issue that bothered me until I decided to try dungeons again last week since a year and a half ago. My mindset for Elder Scrolls games has always been immersion over conquering the mechanics. I've spent most of this game doing single player content, exploring the world with friends and crafting in relaxation. It's kind of a divide that's brought about by something you see in any MMO - the people who want to main bow just like the theme of an archer, it's what they want to play. They're typically PvE folks and want it to be good for that, not PvP players who want to be able to gank people from a safe range (though those definitely exist - just look at any shooter where you can play a "sniper.")

The problem inherent in this is it's hard to please both crowds. Make the bow too good in PVE and it's a monster in PvP, nerf it in PvP and it's garbage in PvE. Balancing a weapon to be equally good against something with three million HP and someone with maybe 40K~ at best is a fucking nightmare.

The obvious solution is some sort of skill (and stat) split system but MMO devs seem allergic to the idea despite it being the only sane option for dealing with the disparity between the sizes of dungeon/raid boss health bars and PC health bars.

tldr; PvE and PvP make balancing ranged weapons even more tricky than it is

But after looking at it, it's said to be "non vet" and "leveling", so it's a guide for things that don't really need guides because the pressure is really low in those situations. You can throw all your points in magicka, wear heavy armor and wield a 2H weapon with a bar filled entirely with FG skills and still probably still manage to level (albeit much slower than someone who has a non-fucked build)

"Motifs" will show you all the armor styles, with tabs to show you how they look at the different material tiers. It's mostly the racial styles that actually have tiers, motifs introduced by DLC like the Dark Brotherhood or Trinimac styles don't have tiers to their appearance and look the same at all levels.

For a quick comparison you can also use the comparison option and select "Tier 10" to see all the endgame styles.

IMO it's because they aren't supported by class lines, much like the PvP stam king of today, two-handers

Staff users for PvE will always have to be close and active because they need to be reapplying DoTs; not only blockade but also class skills like fire breath/claw, twisting path and some AoE skills like sweep. On top of that, PvE stam needs to be close to activate similar DoTs like poison breath/claw, jabs, and hurricane.
And then after that they can spam AoE skills to burn mobs or single target on bosses, because the weapon trees have skills that can do it.

But 2hander has shit for aoe and bow has 1 fire and forget AoE and 1 fire and forget DoT, so they need more single target to have a use

If it were me balancing the game, I'd probably reverse the effect of the long shots passive (making bows do more damage at x or fewer metres away), buff snipe, have it ignore that passive and only be usable at enemies x metres away, and completely change draining shot into a close range conal spammable to rival steel tornado.

I reckon if you can can give bow users a reason to be close and stay close, then you can balance them around the current iteration of the game. otherwise they'll just be DoT slaves and gank tools.

You don't have to do your faction stories to do the other faction stories. You can do whatever the fuck you want as soon as you're done with the tutorial. You can start in EP and say "fuck this ice ass island" and take the boat to Daggerfall.

Sort of, you can keep levelling it but at one point you won't be able to spend it until they raise the roof. Say you have 800, and the current cap for how many cp you can allocate is 560. Next patch they will raise the cap to 600. Meaning you will be 600 as soon as the patch is released.

Besides the lore, there's no point to run Gold. Actually, besides the lore, there's no point doing quests. All you get is green/blue jewelry, overland sets with shitty traits and few gold and xp. I like the lore, but I wish we could get purple/gold jewelry and some dungeons sets. Everything BoP, obviously.

There are many experienced people in BWB, I'd say it's about 50/50.
Also there are no proc sets (though I ran into a guy using Viper recently. It seemed to be his main source of damage as his surprise attacks hit me for like 1500 HP lel.)

Are you expecting there to simply be infinite content somehow? Were you expecting the game to unveil a procedurally generated rogue-like dungeon that you get to play at level 50? What the hell is this "endgame" anyway? Is it some kind of double speak where the word "end" means the fucking opposite?

If you weren't too much of a pussy to play PvP you wouldn't have this problem. The real endgame is emergent player-driven content where increasing your own skill as a player and HAVING FUN is the objective.

This t b h. I have to imagine people who say the characters in this are "ugly" come from super heavily modified Skyrim with 4K facial textures and heavy ENBs or w/e.

The characters in ESO look miles better than any Bethesda character since, I don't know, maybe fucking Morrowind or Daggerfall?

My only problem with ESO graphics-wise is the insane fucking texture-popping. Just look at the two dudes in the back row here. It's like if you stop looking at something for a second it'll immediately drop quality and take much longer to pop back up to the high quality textures when you look back at it.

It's possible I accidentally bashed him if that would do anything but I can't remember now and highly doubt I did, I wear Skoria so I'm extra careful sure not to do anything to the shield guy so I don't accidentally kill him, it definitely looked like that stomp attack killed him because it was the last thing he done before screaming and it went right past me while I was standing next to the shield guy

Look for UserSettings.txt in your ESO folder in Documents. Find and change this line:

SET MIP_LOAD_SKIP_LEVELS "(some number here)"

Change the value to "-3" for the highest quality mipmap loading. For some reason the in game "ultra" setting isn't the best quality.
