Sophia EX isn't very difficult to learn with all the people who've run it over 10 times and Zurvan being this early into his release is a huge pain in the ass to find a party capable of clearing that also wants to carry your ass if you don't already have gear better than what Zurvan can give you.
Shire takes a minimum of 3 weeks to obtain and that's ONLY if you can clear A10S which since you're asking this question, you most likely can't, in which case it would take 7 weeks minimum.

Gotta learn to switch between the bars. The double shoulder and the dual shoulder press open shit up well. The double shoulder press is where you hit the shoulder button twice, dual is pressing both. Ifrit, the melee range attack pet, doesn't need a lot of control so you can leave him on sic for the most part. You may want Garuda, the ranged attack pet, on obey for contagion. If you're SCH then you definitely want your fairies on obey, but thankfully the bar isn't as heavy on skills as SMN so you can have fairy skills and healing spells all in front of you. I have attack spells on the dual shoulder press bars personally. There may be a better way of doing it. The only problem is that if the game is lagging doing the double shoulder press bar may be hard to activate. I have stuff with long cool downs and very situational stuff on that bar. Things like sprint and swiftcast are up there. Sprint because I use that when there's no fighting and it works fine then. Swiftcast because that's on the dual press bar and I leave it there to see how much longer before I can cast it again. I have all my primary rotation skills on my main bar and they fit right now. It'll probably be hell come expansion though.

Controller player here.

I don't play Scholar or Summoner much, but it's pretty manageable when you put them on Sic, but I don't imagine it would be nearly enough for higher end raids and dungeons.
I've problems managing anything other than myself so micromanaging a pet for best deeps or healing would be cancer to my soul unless I was on PC. unfortunately I started on controller and still use it. I just can't into PC controls and I 100% do not want to spend an entire day making a new UI and then a week unlearning all my controller habits and relearning how to do my rotation on a new control scheme.
This all being said, PC controls has the most customization and is just quicker in a lot of ways when you get used to it.

If you're hellbent on controller then extended Controls is an ABSOLUTE MUST if you you're playing on controller. Go turn that shit on. If you don't have them on already, it's the best thing to possibly be made for controller users.

If you feel adventurous and aren't a spaz like me when you want to hit buttons, then turn on the other extended controls option too. Double tap brings up another bar.

Controller I find works a lot more in favor of DPS classes and possibly tanks. I honestly can't imagine healing on a controller when mouse users only have to click on a name to aim at people. Anything that can be better done by clicking on something while in combat is almost 100% better to do on a mouse and keyboard.

Anything can be a Primal I think. A primal isn't the actual being but a groups interpretation of 'em (and the conditions of the summoning also change their personality a bit too I believe, like when that child led to Titans summoning and he was driven crazy with grief). For example, the real Garuda was just an Allagan general who I'm sure looked nothing like her Primal version.
