For simplicity's sake, it's not bad. It keeps up to date and there's very little maintenance on the user's end if you just want a minimal UI without having to set up a ton of shit yourself.

If you've got the time and know-how, Bartender and almost any unit frame addon (SUF for example) are more minimal, more customizable and bring more advanced features.

I'm currently playing Arms warrior, and while I don't mind its rotation, I know that I'm not getting optimal dps because I don't micromanage my focused rage to the point of having max damage.

I've also never played a tank, and was curious if trying Protection Warrior would be a good move. It'd take a while to get the basics of the role, I'm just wondering if Warriors make good tanks in the current meta, and how useful I'll be in both pvp and pve.

Any thoughts?

Every spec and class is viable. WoW balance has never been better.

for healers-
droods are both good and are broken around how good their new mastery and cultivation are, also mana matters right now, and druids can take haste and get large healing per mana gains from it right now (other classes other than arguably disc priest don't benefit too much from haste right now so they play somewhat slow)

paladins are also incredibly strong, but are a 3 button spec and less mobile, but they have bop, divine shield, and their raid cd can be changed with talents, also hit holy shock on cd

shamans aren't as good as the above 2 throughput wise, chain heal spam is their bread and butter, but all their other spells are worth casting, and their strong burst healing, mastery, and spirit link usually means that every guild wants 1 (usually not more though)

holy priests got some new changes, but for the most part, you spam flash heal+trail of light, but at least prayer of healing and mending are more worth using now

disc is a high mana management spec based on chloromancers from rift where you mark people with hots then heal them with damage, but they lack the abilities to do much single target healing, but the mana management is so tight, often the optimal move for some fights is to just to not press any buttons than maybe power word:shield for decent lengths of time

monks sit around then go oom in 2 seconds when they actually press a heal button that isn't ReM or chi burst, but they're not unplayable, incredibly mobile, and have transcendence to reset raid bosses and save guild money

I find that they go oom a bit too fast, although ours really did show up on helya this week, I wasnt too impressed by how he changed on the other 2 big fights (cenarius, guarm; odyn is a joke now if your raid can do p3)

although they already have a tight mana pool so guarm just be that dispelling hurts them more (honestly fuck that fight, that whole mechanic is utter AIDS)

with their mastery buff, I just don't think essence font is quite where it needs to be for them to be able to get their throughput much higher, but I think they do excel at the longer fights, especially on/off ones where they can get more mana back and let their mana efficient cooldowned abilities do a lot of work

also revival is just still a very awkward raid cd, they might really show up in some of the harder fights for nighthold though (guldan maybe and botanist maybe?, I know elisande is just going to be droods abusing haste buffs)
