The multiple endings works better because vampire mythology is more flexible and not as cliched as time travel stories. The setting and backstory are pretty cool. The Bae ending had the biggest thing I wanted from the game (Max and Chloe being alive and together). But fell short of everything else. At least I can think about it, and discuss it here, in a semi-realistic manner since most characters had obvious methods of survival/escape from the storm.

I think the most obvious change for the endings is to have made them equal length. Either give a little photo montage after Max and Chloe drive away, or cut the game the instant Chloe gets shot.
Having one show more and give more closure creates the illusion that it was the right ending...which I highly disagree with.

They had hardly slept that night and then Max tackled her out of nowhere, so the irritation is obviously understandable.

But still, her lack of enthusiasm there disappointed me. The day prior, she's had the outburst in the car. So they must have had their making-up, Chloe apologizing and whatnot, obviously having realized how wrong she had been doing Max and how much she wanted to be with her again, probably beating herself up about it the entire time before they met up again.

So at least after the initial irritation and surprise wore off, it would have been nice if there had been a little more visible and audible appreciation of Max's affection there, instead of just going "you sound high, but thanks for the morning grope", and then "hope you weren't messing around with time".

This is especially disappointing precisely because apart from the couple of text messages, we do not get to see anything of their making-up, and because it comes right after the highly emotional and narratively significant scene in the alternate timeline.

Yes, they also wanted to contrast the conditions of the Chloes, show her typically more "pissed off" mood in the original universe... but that doesn't mean she wouldn't let show that Max hugging her and saying she's so glad she's there makes her happy.

The scene could have been more emotionally and romantically impactful altogether, but even just a little smirk, a lingering hand, a rise in voice or some other little sign of appreciation would have been nice.

There's more scenes that are narratively highly significant, and particularly romantically so, that lack some of that viscerally emotional and outright romantical impact. They are still important and nice scenes, romantical ones, but I really think the lack of a little more sappiness in some of them is a failure that perhaps having a woman on the team could have helped avoid.

3.5/5 of the game is still great. We should focus on that part more than the decidedly terrible last acts. The majority managed to find a balance between sad events but giving enough happy moments to even things out.

Some really tough stuff, but enough brighter moments to keep hope and keep going (One of the biggest lessons of the game, at least for me).

We also know the future for Max & Chloe, and most of the other characters, gets better. So discuss that as well.

Sbel's ending was really nice but it showed too much and tried to be too action-y. It takes its own route, showing Max and Chloe go right into the town, which is cool.
However, Spanish Sahara is not a fitting song for it. The lyrics are about being consumed by madness. Which is why it playing in the Bay ending shows that Max will either go insane or go back and save Chloe.

I get that. I wish we got to see Chloe reunite with her mother, David,and even Frank. And for Max to see that her friends are all right.
But I think that stuff would happen a few days after the storm. Assuming Chloe drove the truck out right after and brought Max up to Seattle. Sbel obviously made her drive into the town and had her and Max rush to the diner first thing. That works as a concept but the execution comes off as a little cheesy (The jumping shots, the butterfly and doe).

Another way I've seen is in few stories I've read had the Caulfields and Chloe watching TV with news about the storm and Chloe sees her parents being interviewed and that's how she knows they're alright.

Victoria would have been a superior alternate, but that's not saying much since a masonry brick would have been a superior alternate to warryn.

Victoria was actually interesting because she had obvious issues, but at the same time had strengths in areas where Max didn't (prepared to submit her work and face really harsh criticism). Basically she was both flawed and highly complementary to Max.

Warryn was just shit, there's no real depth to him. He's a generic smart guy as written by non-smart people. His most character defining moment (which is supposed to display a character flaw) is that he beats up a bully after a gun gets waved in his face by said bully. Fucking hell, you can almost hear the pedo-bait screaming "so hot, he's got a wild dangerous streak".

So why did they him as the alternate choice? Because they wanted a het option for the 14 yo grill demographic. You know, the ones who said "the (pity) kiss was hot" ad nauseum in youtube comments.

Honestly, my problem with Warren is that he doesn't deserve Max. He's like your typical beta-orbiter and white knight. That post says he isn't "too pushy" but most of his scenes with Max clearly show he wants to get into her panties.

Plus, he's shown to have issues under the layers too. From his interest and to jokes, and how he practically went insane on Nathan when he beat him up. Honestly, it wouldn't even have surprised me if he was revealed to be a villain.

I did the Bay ending after my first playthrough. Chloe getting shot in the bathroom while Max was standing by was hard but what really fucked me up was the photo sequence afterwards. It's a 1.5/5. there are only parts of a few chapter that is genuinely good and not just shameless emotional manipulation. I recently replayed it and found 1,4and 5. To be clunky and awful. The mystery was bad, the lingo was bad. The actors carried the game even when the situation was paint by numbers. If all you changed was the genders of the two main characters it would still be a powerful story.
But I like Max and Chloe as girls. They were written and acted as such, and the end result was great. Dontnod took a big risk (And SE was the only potential publisher that let them) and it paid off big.
Maybe S2 can have two guys, as long as their interactions and love don't feel forced.

LiS was great and the only shortcomings came from the story when examined as a whole.
Things not adding up, villains that were barely explored, and plot holes that create doubt about what the last part of the story hints.

Which is a shame.
Some people say the dialogue was bad (I think it was corn, but consistent and dorky enough to be charming) and the characters were unlikable. But if you didn't like the character then you probably did not like/play the game so that angle of criticism is silly.
