Making Sombra Viable:

- Implement PTR changes of hacking from 1 second to 0.8 seconds

- Hack and cloak now requires 35 damage minimum to be interrupted

- Cloak and Decloak animations reduced from 1 to 0.3 seconds

- Sombra no longer announces her decloaking, but the decloaking noise can still be heard

- Shield removed from Hack or EMP can not be healed until Hack is over.

There, now She is a completely viable offensive/support harassing hero who doesn't have to worry about her casted abilities getting interrupted by a stray 1 damage and her EMP/ Hack isn't pointless with healers being a thing.

Everything that they do is qualified as bad writing. Even the Tracer comic they released was a perfect example of bad writing, that is what Blizzard does.
They don't have a story, they don't know what they are doing, we don't know shit about any of the heroes besides some things about Ana and S76 and even these are vague as fuck. that's all really. Once you get into a certain skill bracket, it never changes anymore.

You can see I went down from ~2100 to ~1300. Idk why the game placed me at 2100 but I lost every single game with the exception of 1 until I was at 1300.

Now I pretty much lose 2, win 1, but the win mostly gives 2x the SR than the loss does so I go back and forth between 1250 and 1350

Typically inexperience with games in general. I imagine my nephew would end up in Bronze or Silver. He doesn't know what all the heroes do and how to respond to them, he doesn't see the overall picture and just focuses on what's infront of him, he has played a few FPS games before, but he still stumbles around like a console player, and when it comes time to do his ultimate, he has to look down at the keyboard to find where Q is.

I'm Bronze as well I'm just really terrible at aiming because I barely play FPS.

In my entire history I have only played about 300 hours of WarRock (terrible, terrible F2P shooter), 100 hours of BF3, 50 hours of CSGO and now 75 to 100 hours of Overwatch (lots of uncounted Arcade time), that's it.

I feel this is not enough. I regularly lose 1v1s because people jump around like crazy and I don't, I mostly stop moving when I shoot because my brain can't handle both at once.

I tried strafing in training range and it works well enough but as soon as I join a game my brain shuts off and I just stand still like a statue and shoot

I can get Widowmaker and Reaper being in multiple animations - Alive was more Widow's thing than Tracer's, and it made sense for them to be in Infiltration because it showed how they worked in a group with Sombra. Junkrat and Roadhog aren't even tangentially involved in either of the main "arcs" right now (those being 76/Ana/Reaper and Zarya/Sombra), so it doesn't feel like they're going to get as much focus until later. That's just my read on it, though.

Being a bit burnt out on Overwatch, I decided to try Paladins, hoping that it would remind how much better of a game OW is.
It wasn't AS bad as I was expecting, but the fact that it blatantly copies Overwatch is really the least of its problems.
Some of the champion kits would have potential. For example Bomb King and Drogoz are blatant rips of Junkrat and Pharah respectively, but it feels more like an alternative take on the concept that could very well be more fun than their originals. That is if they were in a game that wasn't so mindnumbingly lackluster as this one.
I don't think you could find an easier FPS, if you can even call it that. Just as those one webms that have been cycling around show, the hitboxes are the size of an airliner that just happen to have a critbox located at the head. It honestly feels more like a MOBA in that you practically can't miss your attacks and you just have a variable crit chance. And that's just the gunplay.
I think the overarching term for this game is "impotent". I honestly wouldn't play it even if I didn't buy Overwatch. It's the League of Legends to Overwatch's Dota. Or more accurately, TF2 = Dota, OW = HoN, Battleborn = HotS, Paladins = LoL.
