I admit there may be a bit of ambiguity here, but her remembering her “feelings” upon merging with Mu then immediately getting excited to see Ragna (after just speaking with him in possibly less than a minute’s time) is strange. If you want to interpret that has her somehow “remembering” Saya’s relationship with Ragna, you are welcome to. Even if that was the context, she is still a massive brocon. It would not undermine the all the other brocon facets of her characterization like her obvious disappointment in pic related after realizing she wasn’t being asked out.

I think the point was that Noel already had the "Saya" memories like Jin pointed out due to her nature as a clone, so merging with Mu wouldn't give her some groundbreaking epiphany. She shouldn't have reached that level of enlightenment until she fused with Izanami, which is incidentally the time she begins referring to him as "Nii-sama."

I'm not sure how asw would handle it but a projectile you have the option to use as a platform could be interesting. Could make it like his ice car, but with more options and Hazama I assume you were talking about spinning on top of it. Also a Litchi style stance change when it's deployed without him or he's on it. If Ragna was the key to all this, only because of Terumi was he able to gain power enough to change the world, or hell, even meet the Master Unit since that required the Nemesis Horizon. Sure, in the end this makes him a self-serving egocentric prick, but given he's the closest thing to a god with an ego in this game, nothing else should be expected. Having a world that fears him that he describes as a paradise is essentially him finally getting on the hotseat of godhood that Amaterasu had hogged for so long - pretty typical of an immature younger brother.
If Terumi turned out to be a sympathetic dark hero right at the end it'd totally ruin what remained of his foil relationship with Ragna. We already have Jin for secretly well-meaning asshole. As much as I loved to joke about him being the true unsung hero.

I like how the final battle vs an actual villain was between these two for this reason. People kept saying it should've shifted to Izanami, or hell Relius, but really they're late entries. It shouldn't have ended any way but this. Not to say everything that led up to it was written well.

Terumi was already the dragon, having the dragon become the final boss only works if the two characters have grudging respect for one another and are rivals.
Ragna had already defeated Terumi. terumi getting his hands on his old body meant next to nothing since he could just be removed from the body. Terumi was terrible choice for a final boss.

Making Noel part of Saya was bullshit and felt forced.

Ragna never called Noel "Saya" at the start of the game.

As soon as Ragna saw Izanami he called her Saya and recognized her despite her having purple hair.

They were all working together so that they could summon the Nemesis Horizon. If the opening cutscene did not make it clear to you that Terumi and Relius were the ones who engineered 'Izanami' in order to do this, I don't know what to say. I never said that Izanami could have been the final boss as it played out in CF. I was talking about the Izanami that we saw for the first time after Terumi's defeat. Relius was the mad scientist that had helped "create" her. It didn't make him her master, he was just the tool that had set shit in motion much like how Terumi had set shit in motion. Both of them were just there to explain why Saya would become evil.

So again, ignoring the fact that Amaterasu and Susano'o are literally gods in japanese mythology, we can simply surmise that that Murakumo, the Godslayer was intended to slay Sankishin units. Mu in this case is the godslayer, and intended to kill Amaterasu as very obviously stated by Terumi in CS. Thus, Amaterasu was a Sankishin unit.
So since Hakumen is also identified as a Sankishin unit by the murakumo in that game, it's pretty goddamn obvious what was up here. A former Sankishin unit was trying to kill one of its own - Amaterasu - that very few know about, and that he knew very much about.

Noel called him Dark Susano'o in the first game, he calls himself Takehaya Susano'o since Continuum Shift and he calls himself one TRUE Susano'o in his Astral Heat and shows you the true hand/edge/whatever of god. This shit has been here since day 1.

It's literally the goal of both sides in every game to affect Amaterasu in one way or another, be it saving or destroying, replacing or erasing. Ragna is very much involved since it includes Origin Saya, and besides the protagonist, Terumi is for reasons obvious since CS.

Because Terumi's plan was to do just that, only that possibility would have revealed the weakness with Takemagahara. He was brutally clear on this. It's like calling somebody a genius for giving the answer to a puzzle when the answer is shoved in his damn face. Terumi went through countless timeloops just to make that happen. The best you have is 'doesn't matter' because it makes you feel differently about it?

If you'd pay attention, Terumi had a hand in fusing the soul and vessel as well, indicated by the opening cutscene of CP. So yes, he's included as one of her creators, and seeing as he desired the Nemesis Horizon in that game, yes, she was another one of his tools.
