Ok, I'm done. I'm apparently so bad at this game that the only option is too fuck off. Also, WG can take this un-fun and un-fitting CV gameplay and shove it. I don't even get how a 24% win rate is even possible, or how it is even allowed in the MM.

That being said, I'm not sad about leaving. It's my fault for playing something with these fucking awful looking ships. Honestly, i think that every single one of these ships that you guys idolize looks like a rotten piece of shit. Do Naval Architects even try to innovate or at least make things less, i don't know, clusterfucky? The greatest piece of engineering on a ship would be the aircraft in their hangars or catapults...

Teste could be quite viable as a Tier 4 premium CV.

The Laté 298B could be used for all 3 plane types (historically used as a torpedo bomber and dive bomber, and with the rear gunner removed and no payload it'd probably be fast enough for use as a fighter at Tier 4), and she could carry 26 of them.

Dunkerque is so much more fun when switching to HE against angled BBs. I'd always resisted doing it before because I don't like spending an extra 28 seconds between shots and that 330mm AP is surprisingly good for its small caliber. But 35% fire chance is hilarious.

Low-health Colorado was at long range and very well angled so I lit him on fire. He used his repair so I fired another salvo, 2 fires and burned him down. Then an angled Bayern at the very edge of my range, set him on fire and he let it burn, but then turned in against a Scharnhorst he foolishly thought was the greater threat so I was back to AP-ing him to death.

Every Cruiser and most BBs can be citadels from any side given the range and caliber of the guns hitting you. Honestly the angles are so fucked up that ricochets should be pens and pens should be ricochets. It shows how bad WG is with programming.

Kinda. Due to overmatching mechanics if a gun is bigger than 14.3 times your armor, no angle will save you.
So 25mm found on side of most IJN cruisers will save you from NM but not from Bayern. And 30mm of Ao will save you from 406mm. You can also try to bait enemy BB to shoot at your main belt. Since IJN citadel sits high in water it is usually a viable tactic. Of course failure means you will most certainly get citadeled.
In the end the best way to not get hit is too not be seen, and IJN are best in that.

Thinking of trying CV for the first time.

What nation, and how does a mix of fighters and dive bombing do? I'm thinking that since being constantly set on fire is such a huge pain in the ass (with HE rounds) that dive bombing cruisers and DDs in two waves (the second wave after they've used repair) would seem like a good idea.
