You can do the little events with your party members and shit at your own pace, you can do the story with no grinding since the battle system is pretty decent and there's fun weapons to try out (I ended up going full weeb katana since I like bleeds, but bleeds are pretty useless and I just stuck with it 'cause I was shitting out damage).

There's some cute / slightly racy CGs, and there's like 150+ hours of gameplay if you do stuff after the main story, which was about a 40hr thing for me with no real grinding.

I'm thinking of playing Exist Archive or Trails of Cold Steel next, even though I'm not the hugest fan of turn based games anymore. I just want an engaging RPG.

I don't have any screenshots but I've payed it. It was better in some aspects and worse in others. It had 12 waifus although some were kinda redundant and the gameplay was even fucking easier. Story was better because it was a whole lot more lighthearted and actually didn't felt out of place like in Conception 2's case which had tons of melodrama for nothing.

I think it was that you can enchant 5 times, or maybe lower, and to get more levels to your gear the spellbook has to be higher level than your gear. I think unique gear you couldn't enchant as many times as normal. Maybe, it has been over a year since I played it.

Oh and fuck the blacksmithing in whole at DT2, random skill headache. I will always remember the noise the sheep makes when you go back and forth in that menu.

One thing that some people might not know is you can drop a seed to do huge AOE damage. This kills everything there. However you lose that seed for quite a bit so you can't do normal shooting there.

Right positioning of the original plants and together with some timing on using the AOE should be enough. You shouldn't need to adjust the plant shooting that often.

Well, it has returning characters so you would miss out on various references they make in the game. In the big picture they really aren't that important as both Shallies are as much in the dark as you would be if you didn't play the previous games.

But I would still suggest you to play them before you play Shallie. The references to the earlier games are always great, the best kind of fanservice in my opinion.

For a launch game it looked pretty good. It's a shame that afterwards they spent like at least a year on a new engine made just for Vita for them and other first party studios to use and wanted to work on an Uncharted GA2 but Naughty Dog said no and Sony wouldn't greenlight any new Vita games from them so all that time spent on that engine that was never used was for naught.
