be careful when using the browser exploit. even giving gyro input fucks it up for some reason. whenever I would load a payload from an exploit I would be really careful not to press anything or even shake my 3DS because of gyroscopic sensor input. for some reason input can cause interference and even a crash. just let it sit, make sure you time loading the page correctly and don't rush loading it or it will cause a crash. generally being careful when loading the exploit will make it work without issues. if you were already careful then just check the files are in the right places and are the right file size after you downloaded them. if you corrupted the download that will mess with your success with it too. account for every part of it that could lead to it crashing and make sure you didn't miss anything. otherwise it's just generally buggy and loading the exploit requires luck and you just have to keep trying.

· Following the 3ds.guide there's a section where you make a NAND.bin backup and later on you restore it after you patch the inner sys ROMs of the 3DS. By what I understand, this NAND.bin is a kind of "ticket" to verify that your games are, in fact, yours. But is that really it? Should I back more stuff up before proceeding?

· How's online play? Is it safe to play online and use online services with a cIOS? I read that you can update the system with the builtin 3DS option without any issue.

I'm having trouble with FCE Ultra GX on my Wii.

I follow the instructions, put all the roms in the specified folder, though on my USB, and boot it up. But I'm getting no options. What I get is a screen like this, but without buttons, no list, no scroll bar, no "choose game". I just get the red banners with the logo in the top right. that's it. I can click on the logo for the credits. That's all. Can't find any menu.

wew lad I haven't used my Wii in forever especially after I hacked my 3DS in like December 2014 only for a downgrade to come out in January 2015 and I ended up having 2 hacked 3DS's for one to have the charger port fuck up so now I only have one. you probably have to get FCEUGX to have its directories pointed at the USB and from what I remember back in my Wii hacking days you have to make sure homebrew can actually read and write from the usb slot which I am pretty sure requires some sort of patch or something. although Nintendont didnt require that so maybe not. sometimes you just have to look at the settings until you can figure out what went wrong. you can always try the wiibrew page or look for troubleshooting on google.

So i finally have CFW and dowloaded a bunch of stuff from the new freeshop. Everything seems to be working correctly except for the Theme Shop DLC, whenever i enter the themes menu it says i have too many (188) and that i need to delete them. Is there a way to keep them? Deleting them manually is a pain too.

Haven't looked into this in depth yet, how hard is it to install A9LH if you already are on CFW (rxtools)?
Or is it the process the exact same no matter if you have previously hacked the 3DS before?

you should be on 11.2. If you were having the black screen error, it is most likely that Plailect linked the wrong version of Safehax (again). You can have a CFW running on 11.2 perfectly fine, the need for a 9.2.0 fw is completely obsoleted.

It should still be fine, but try turning off your wifi beforehand so you don't potentially mess something up. If D9 detects somethings off, it will probably spit a warning at you. The 11.2 -> 2.1 downgrade is very stable and by now well-tested and high succes-rate. You can do whatever you want but I'd personally restore the 11.1 backup, update to 11.2 through system update and THEN follow the entire guide. Then you'll know for sure you'll end up with a working CFW.

Yes. You then press A while over the CIA file you wish to install and a menu will pop up that will enable you to install said file. Do you have a SysNAND backup of your cracked system? I'd highly recommend you to still make one in case anything ever fucks up. Use Decrypt9 or Hourglass9 to make/restore backups. Those are Luma payloads by the way, not CIA's.

You can delete unused tickets through FBI. If you made a SysNAND backup and you stored it safely somewhere (like dropbox) then you can safely remove it from your files9 folder. Check the bottom of the page for a list of files that are required to still run your CFW (you can remove everything else).
