I like it. It's like a board game.

First I tried Scotland and got wrecked by the English. Then I played England and formed Britain while also cutting France in half, with the help of Castille, and getting a PU over them in an event. Got bored of that then and started a new game as Brandenburg this weekend. Going to play this one out because it's quite fun being sandwiched between Poland, Denmark, Austria and France as a Protestant. I'm currently trying to appease the Russians and Ottomans before Austria breaks our tenuous alliance.

Anyway enough blogposting. How would I go about forming the HRE? I feel like it might be fun, if challenging. Do you just have to keep fighting wars to release nations or is expanding outwards and adding provinces a better way to go? In all my games so far ive only ever seen them pass the first reform.

Flip the bird on anyone who isn't an Elector-Prince. Electors you'll have to push their shit in or turn a blind eye. The entire HRE business is really a beeline rush towards the no internal war reform and then the single nation reform.

Well, like I said, you're right hoi3 is more complex. Most people don't need it to be as complex as you apparently need it though. Most people will enjoy hoi4 more, I'm willing to bet - not only because it's less complex, but also because it's not outdated. Think about the young kids who will start playing now or have just begun playing GS, they will love the graphics of hoi4 and fucking despise that of hoi3. And they will still be able to challenge themselves (your goals set the challenge after all), so why not.

I let Burgundy wage war against the brits, and they took some of my clay too, because I hoped the inheritance would fire.

However, I did get the Aragon claim, and Castile helped me with that. It was easy because they never got an heir, let alone a female one. NOW though, because the Castilian king died without an heir, a succession war between me and England occurred.

I'm now leading PU with Castile, Aragon, and Naples. And I'm the emperor which might or might not inherit Burgundy.

The popularity of HoI4 really worries me.

Okay, in HoI4 how do I stop literal millions of Chinese from taking mainland Europe as America? What kind of units do I need and what composition of the divisions. He'll have around 500 divisions of infantry and cavalry maybe with some tanks mixed in here and there. I outstrip him heavily in production as of now, but that could change. He's going to be charging across USSR territory and probably coming up through the mid east as well through Turkey, I can't be sure yet. He's in the comintern, I'm in my own faction, and I'm on okay terms with the Axis which is now pushing hard into the USSR. The conflict with the Chinks may very well be a year or so off at the most. Please help.

Ok in CK2 (no mods, all DLC's except for the council one) I have a courtier with a strong claim on a kingdom. I'm muslim so I can't do a matrilineal marriage.

Basically this guy has no wife, I have a few women of my dynasty (no men) to marry off, and I want this kingdom somehow.

Mythos CK2 game (mod recently got updated) converted to EU4.

Played a vampire in Byzantium and rather than blobbed made as many Kangz into vampires as possible while also shitting up the Catholics.

It converts most of it fine, the problem is the usual one where the converter makes nameless exclaves because of the new rebellion system in CK2 and you have to manually fix.

I really need to fucking remember to disable Sunset Invasion whenever I play CK2 though.

Ok, I have never done a proper blob of the immense scale before, so which idea groups should I take? Should I go berserk on mil ideas and be a French space marine nation or do I actually need to focus on administrative and humanism first? I have started on Influence obviously, but I almost have my second group opened.

And what about the HRE approach? Should I even give a damn about doing the reforms leading to vassal swarm? Or is it best to just blob directly into HRE, into Poland, Into Russia? The thing is, if I attempt on doing the HRE diplo game I might fail due to my lack of experience with being the emperor and doing those reforms. I never tried the austrian diplo game before, so I don't exactly know what to do with it. The second largest faction within the group is General Araki's Kodoha (Imperial Way Faction). The Kodoha is built on the backs of the Resorationist military leaders and they seek to return all power to the Emperor.

Within the Taisei Yokusankai both the Kodoha and Yokuseiha are skeptical of the Kakushinha's plans to centralize the government into the "New System" by combining the legislative, execute, and administrative systems into one. From without many are concerned at the threat the Taisei Yokusankai poses to the Diet and Constitution.
