B) I won the roll as soon as I found out existed
I got similarly lucky with the gauntlets from the set, the next run of LotA I did they dropped and I won them.

fire III exists to get you to three stacks and transition from ice to fire, you should never cast it otherwise unless you have a firestarter proc. you switch to umbral ice after you exhaust your MP on fire IVs, cast a thunder I or use a thundercloud proc, then use blizzard IV to refresh enochian before going back into astral fire at full MP. your job is to maximize the number of fire IVs you sling and keep enochian up for two refreshes so it can come off of cooldown

You only need to fire 3 once to get 3 stacks of astral, then you spam fire 2 until you have no more mana and just flare, transpose and then start casting fire 3. By the time fire 3 is done you'll have two mana ticks which is enough for two more fire 2 and a flare and you just repeat.
