Druids vs paladin comes down to this - paladin is still wearing plate when he is healing himself, druid in caster form is squishy. It's all about stunning the druid and bursting when he tries to heal. That's it.

If you manage to burst, you win, if not you spend 5 more mins smacking each other in the face until you try again.

Paladins can't prevent druids from running away tho and that's the only thing the class does. Try to 1v1 someone, fail, run away.

Not that it matters, but they backtracked on the "pristine servers" idea very quickly. The retailfags hated the idea, the legacyfags hated the idea, no one liked the idea.
In an interview like 2 weeks after the initial blue post, they said it was just an idea they were floating and that had since decided it was a bad halfway-attempt that wouldn't be worth it.

Shamans are the kings of output and group healing while paladins are the kings of efficiency and group heals.

Paladin buffs are raid wide while shamans buffs are group based.

Paladins also provide: 10% stats, 30% threat reduction, 36Mp5, 155 attackpower and a Chance on hit to get mana and health back for the entire raid and a cheap magic dispel.

Shamans provide: 20% chance for extra melee hit totem OR 20% threat reduction, 75 strength, and 12Mp2 For their Group and purge.

Mana tide can't really be fully utilized because you cannot change the group of someone in a full raid.

Both provide resistance auras for their group.

Overall paladins make content a lot easier for alliance in comparison to shamans for horde.
