Affordability is a matter of person.
How much do you make a year?

Not really, BE was the last viable dragon deck we had and it's fallen out of favor in place of other decks like Zoodiacs, Invoked and Infernoids.
If you need a base, this is the deck I use and it's been good to me.
It should be perfectly affordable to anybody, so long as you make the average salary of any modern man.

IIRC, it was a prize card in some Las Vegas tourney which even had a Yugi and Mai duel with Dan and Erica.
The lore behind it is that a Pit Boss is a Casino Manager or something like that so it looks like a shady card dealer and the old boss monsters of protagonists are just an Easter Egg.
It could also be a foreshadow to Performapals so I guess he serves two purposes.
