Which is extremely helpful, as you don't have to manually target them.
Also it ends if all affected enemies are killed. If you succ bigger groups you can kill them quite easily with his 1 (I got it to 8k damage on level 45 grineer, which is alright imo) or just an AoE/punch through weapon, which makes it spammable and useful as you don't want to get off your creep. With just Stretch the range is decent too.

Duration is not really necessary for his 4 beyond just primed cont, a minute is more than enough time to build more stacks than it consumes. Efficiency doesn't matter much to him either.

Not sure how but aside from one time, all my salvage runs sleek'd and I had permanent 100% armor, taking no damage at all outside the bubbles. Some teammates always kept dying. So glad I got my Nidus parts before they fix that shit. These missions are cancer enough already without even more limitations.

Godamn it, man, this sortie was my first time fighting Tela de Thyam and I barely beat the cunt. Piece of shit has so much health and deal so much damage with those homing proyectiles that basically insta kill you. Died twice figuring out what to use to fight her (both times after ranning out of ammo), then when I was finally going to beat her, I died, revived and only had 60 seconds to kill her becuase it took me so damn long to drop her health to like 5% and did not managed to kill; mission failed. holy shit i just realized something

is nidus an infested chroma without his pelt? the stuff down the middle of his chest is almost exactly the same shape and the "ear" things on his helmet when he's "activated" look similar to the hooks on chroma's helmet

So this update in a nutshell
Quest was alright, excluding the reasons to make a decision at the end.
The new mission type is the only way to get the rest of Nidus, and it is glitched and not fun at all, Archwing part farming 2.0, apparently easier farming for Jordas Verdict, but almost no one does it anyways.
Nidus is alright, opens that nasty door and reveals what is behind it.
The new melee weapon is awesome and doesn't take much to make, with a pretty neat passive.
The new gun is held behind such a unrealistic cost in clan tech which a representative said they had no intentions of fixing, and apparently it is shit anyways.
Index is now permanently in the game, and it was glitched, although they did fix it now, all the mod drops are gone.
Many glitches and bugs thanks to sleek coding.


TLDR: Quest was wrapped up poorly, Nidus good, means of obtaining is worse than all the Cancers he has, Clan tech gun is trash and means of building is worse than on release Vauban Prime, New Sparring weapon is great, Index is silly, game is more broken.

m prime is good because it's combination debuff/slow CC, double damage buff, covers the map, and happens to do damage, though the damage is incidental. It also as no conflicting mod variables which makes her easy to minmax. It can also be modded for grinding to make enemies faster. So it's useful on most every game mode at any level.

that alone makes nova pretty top tier, but the fact that her 2 and 3 give her nuke DPS potential and versatility (her 3 can cheese spy missions, and with the aug, you can make your entire shitter squad go fast) making her one of the rare frames that can't really be fucked up

Quest was bad. Needed two or three of the Index missions removed and replaced with something set in the Colony. Maybe Nef gets butthurt he lost and decides to wipe it out so you take infested kid back and see her use her infested powers to do whatever it is they do and this somehow helps you fight off the Corpus attacks.

phage is awful. It was decent when it came out, but has been completely and utterly powercreeped into nonrelevance. You'd think it would be good with base viral and throwing corrosive on it +RoF to crank up the status, and proccing armor loss/viral health, but no. It's shit.

It cannot proc status reliably, it cannot crit reliably, and it has exceedingly poor DPS which you cannot salvage with any combination of mods. The only thing it has going for it is ammo efficiency, which is utterly meaningless because it can't kill anything fast post level 30. Even if you run an extremely unsustainable paper DPS build it still caps out at something like 33k burst DPS, which is pretty garbage for the investment required to get there

compare to something like synapse, which was always pretty solid, and still usable, despite things like Quanta V, Amprex, etc outcreeping it, but had a resurgence d/t rivens and things like bladed rounds, argon scope, etc

I mean, props to you if you want to run a themed build or w/e and fuck around low level stuff, but you really can't make phage 'good'

heat + toxic = gas Gas is not heat
heat + cold = blast. Blast is not heat.
heat + electric = radiation. Radiation is not heat

this means shit like unmoddified twin basolk, atomos, ignis all get boosted. If you have a corrosive + heat atomos, the heat component is boosted. If you use fireball after accelerant, the fireball will deal increased damage. If you have heat hazard, accelerant'd enemies that walk through flames will take more damage.

it's cheaper for newbies to max out essential shotgun mods than rifle mods, just because point blank has like half as many ranks as serration, and vicious spread is dogshit, compared to heavy cal which is autoincluded for a lot of (most?) rifles

non-corrupted warframe mods aren't that expensive to max out. Not all corrupted mods are essential.
Blind Rage - niche builds, expensive
Narrow Minded - useful in many builds, many frames, get to ~10
Overextended - cheap to max, useful for a few builds
Fleeting Expertise - essential to most builds, you'll want 2-3 (50% for 75% efficiency builds, 60% for blind rage builds, maybe a 40% for 70% efficiency builds that save a bit of duration)
Transient Fortitude - some builds

tl;dr max out shotgun mods because they're cheap, and paired with a good shotgun (of which there are many) you'll be able to kill anything til endgame

level/max out non-corrupted warframe stat mods
level key corrupted mods that are relevant for the frames you like to play.
Max out any other corrupted mods that you'll use in other frames.

unlock the starmap

don't get someone to immediately taxi you to akkad/bere and then grind out stacks of weapons because if you do that, you'll become a shitter who has no idea how to play the game properly despite having a high MR rank, AND you'll have a high level but no good gear/no credits/whatever

it's fine to get a taxi to each DS node so you can farm essential resources without wasting too much time, plus you'll be able to collect relics while you do it

Melee is also harder to make decent without a lot of key mods, some of which are gated behind events, or are just generally harder to acquire

ymmv and I'm sure a lot of the autists here will disagree, but I think you can basically get by the whole game with Hek and Sobek once they're properly modded.

Sobek with acid shells is more fun imo (because safe, room clearing AoE that scales, on a shotgun that can get good status and do both 1shot 1kill and burst autofire) but Hek has more fuckoff huge base damage with the multishot aug. Sobek is also a lot harder for a newbie to minmax because it has two augs, and there's no way you'll be able to farm acid shells yourself yet.

They're both basically shotgun snipers though (in that they're still solid at range because they have tight spread)

So will Nidus be the only Warframe that can open the infested door? Does that mean every player will at some point need to grind to get him if the infested door plays in some quest? Or will infested type warframes be their own line, and each one of them transforms

recommended warframes for newish players to shoot for?

The gap is a lot smaller in practice due to the status chance/spread. Try em out it the sim, you'll see.

Butt part of it is that DE is too dumb to realize that secondaries have more stronk mods (ie. Serration VS Hornet / Barrel Diffusion VS Split Chamber ect.)

How do I fix this? I am only getting quests for arbiters despite offering equally to all of them, so I don't know how to improve my standing with them.

The accuracy isn't THAT big a deal, it's only a problem at long range and only has minor impact on DPS at midrange. AkSomatis were my weaponfus before AkStilletos came along

And no amount of bad accuracy will make up for literally double the DPS of Soma P. The only reason I sold the Riven was because mod space is so limited on crit pistol builds. I'm aiming for an AkSomati riven with an Elemental stat so I can fit it into my build without fucking over elemental combos
