advancement used to mean options. you commit to one subclass, then you pick your order of active skills/passives/buffs to unlock and use as you level. 5th job gives you nothing new or unique to your class, just fifty ranks of same low-impact rubbish

they couldn't even package it as interesting active skills/passives that scale up your damage with new mechanics. they just removed the damage ceiling and give you more gear and boring buffs to surpass it more easily. this is the kind of generic ass progression other games do like twice a year

Arcane river, chu chu, and lachelin were designed for players who have outgrown or outdamage the alternative places for that level, so you can either grin and bear it or move to scrapyard/DWT and come back when you've got some damage.
The quests end around the Cave of Repose, so maybe finish up if you're close.

First of all, with the upcoming expansion in KMS each class gets 4 skills.
Second, this game doesn't really need that many skills, most classes already have the tools they need by the fourth job, and if not then Hyper skills also help.

If you do the Mu Lung Beasts of Fury questline you can do a repeatable quest that gives you as many soul bags as you want.

The one issues is that it's a jump quest that takes like 10-15 minutes probably per run (it's more fun than a traditional jumpquest because it's a different style), and you need to do five to get your reward.
