I've noticed that the quality of my draft matters far less than the luck of draws. I had a good sword deck with two otomemes and a decent curve. 3-2, because I bricked while the opponents got perfect openings in two games.
After that, I drafted another sword deck, which was by far the worst deck I have ever drafted for sword. 3-2.

The new cards are honestly going to be a fraction of the cards you need to make decks, except maybe in the case of aggro rune since there's a lot of new cards there.
Doing arena runs to build up your standard collection is pretty much the best way to spend your gold if you just started playing. Though I guess the starter deck deals are good as well now.

That's about right. There's nothing I hate more than memedecks that just happen to get lucky that one time. It's especially frustrating in arena.
Fortunately this isn't as big as problem in shadowverse. In HS I'd run into people with the most retarded drafts in arena every now and then, relying on some 3 card combo to beat you. And with some luck, you're the only person he gets his combo on.

2000 crystals so it's like 40~ dollars.
Vial value is worse than daily deals, but you get the cards immediately and you know what you're getting so it's efficient just for a single legend or enough golds. Being able to complete a full deck at the price is actually really good compared to other card games too for what it's worth, but it's really a matter of whether or not an individual thinks digital cards have any weight.

Yeah, as I said, I do not think he is S tier on his stats or abilities. 5pp Imp Lancer that turns into 9pp 2 hit alexander or 6 face dmg isn't S tier.
But just shoring up some of Sword's weaknesses is going to easily pop him up to S. He just gives sword the ability to efficiently navigate situations that would have been very awkward before. Control decks win by dragging out a game with defensive tools until they can put their wincon on board. Traditionally some fat, hard to deal with card but most control decks are control-combo stuff right now.
Midrange decks win by outvaluing opponents. Broadly speaking but not strictly, this means playing control against aggro to remove their shit until it's safe to play your shit, and playing aggro against control by having fat or sticky cards that're difficult to deal with.

I do not get the Otohime meme because if the removal card doesn't give the other guy tempo, then the Sword player can just flood the board back to full again and keep hammering. The only cards you should fear is the 5pp haven that deals 2 damage on evolve (if they run that), and the new blood leggo. Everything else is either too slow for them to develop anything else or doesn't do enough damage. If they can't burn your board back to back you win, Otohime helps into making sure they, at some point, can't. Albert can also finish games that dragged on for too long so... I don't think mid-range will change much but I want to try a bit of control, too.

It's an extremely high quality +1 at 3 followers for 3pp, you'll have seen 6 cards minimum by that stage of the game and in Dragon, it's reasonable for every card but the draw to be a follower and it's reasonable that the shit you're boarding isn't even dead yet. It only gets better from there, with the only downside being that it's a shit top deck in a game that's already gone completely wrong.

Yea finishing the story mode will give you a lot of arena tickets, basic cards, and gold.
Pretty much all of them. Shadow and Blood are a little weaker than the other classes.
