Frozen Synapse is PvP and a lot better than DK for tacticool top down. I hated that you couldn't tell your people which way to be looking in DK when I played it so I just ended up refunding it. Breach & Clear is more of the same.

I got really unlucky with my placements and got Gold 3, and it's only been downhill since then. I don't bother with the TS for ranked because it's either people that talk shit every time I die, which drains my will to even play, or people that aren't consistent enough to rely on anyways, or both. To whoever has a toaster away from siege, if you've never tried it, consider getting Jagged alliance 2 (and the 1.13 mod).

I'm not even sure you can buy it, but you should be able to find it easily enough. Vanilla is fine because the later versions of 1.13 suffer from a bit of overdesign if you don't know what to turn off before starting.

The first 3 seasons were just fine, and Echo is just fine. It's honestly just Hibana that looks like shit. Her hood, hair, and nail polish just convey "I'm a fucking anime character" and her sci-fi gun isn't the worst of her, but it could look a little more grounded for sure.
I'm fine with them going a partial plainclothes style for the SAT, It makes the ctu stand out from the other year one operators that all have closer to standard gear, and helps convey that they mostly operate within urban settings. It's fitting.

This is my current biggest issue with him now. There's no polarity between his two modes, which is what it feels more like with such little health. You don't need a second GPU if you don't plan on doing GPU-heavy stuff on Linux, so you can just use the onboard GPU for Linux and the dedicated GPU for your Windows VM. If you're going to be doing both, then yeah you should have one dedicated GPU for each one.

Honestly though you don't need to mess with that stuff. Out of my Steam library, I have 100 good games that run natively on Linux with no problems, and a lot more that run on Wine with no issues, a few that need a few tweaks, and just a very select few that can't run (like Siege) - which is where my small windows partition comes into play.

Hell, even stuff like XCOM 2 is on Linux. I'm glad Gabe started shilling so hard for SteamOS, it's actually helping.

Twitch kills rarely ever happen, Frost trap deaths only occur on the final kill of a round, rarely anybody dies via Capitao or Ash, and who the fuck ever dies via Bandit wire?

So, 30 knife kills was pretty easy. Got it done in one session last night. Probably only played for about 5 hours or so, and our 3-man group in casual each got 30 knives.

No, Blitz is quite honestly the worst operator in the game because he's literally just Montagne light. And you have no reason to pick a second shield OP when you already have Blitz, leaving you with objectively 0 reasons to ever fucking pick him at all.
Echo is good. Shotgun for creating killholes + removing walls to take away cover from attackers as they enter a room (like in herford base basement), and Bearing9 is basically a second SMG-11.
He can fill both Valks and Smokes roles at once by either simply spotting for his team with his drone, helping out your roamers by stunning people around them, stalling for time with stuns or flat-out stopping attackers from planting the defuser.
If all you do is play solo queue then sure, Echo is lackluster.
If you actually play with competent people that communicate Echo is solid.

When you drone don't just look for roamers, just use it to make sure there are no roamers directly around you. Stay close to your cams and only use the same route you send your drone. And don't be afraid to be aggressive. The enemy operates under the assumption that you're too scared to make the first move, use that against them. They'll expect you to slow peak or they will slow peak themselves. In both scenarios using peeker's advantage against them and forcing it a little should give you at least a trade if you're a good enough shot.

Also, if you go solo a lot I'd recommend learning how to play Capitao well. His incendiary arrows work just as well for defense as it does for offense. You can use them to delay flankers and force corner campers or peekers to move so you can run somewhere else.

There's no set "best" sensitivity for mice. What's optimal is up to each player to find themselves.
Most CSGO pros play with 800 dpi. Some a little higher, some a little lower. (Guardian, one of the best AWPers in CSGO, actually plays with 400 dpi, which is ridiculously low).
Rule of thumb is that low dpi > high dpi. Overshooting your target will happen often if your DPI is too high. With a low DPI it's all about just moving your mouse more, something you'll get used to after playing on it for a while.
Anything from 600-1200 would be what most consider "optimal", but it's all up to preference at the end of the day.
I'm sure there's some mutant aliens out there who think 3000 is somehow optimal, but hey more power to them.

Despite running solo queues I avoid attackers that favor solo playstyle. It's retarded I know, but I want to win more than I want to perform well, so I typically pick Thermite if no one else did, or Thatcher because no one picks him ever and he's my main squeeze.

I used to be the same way, but the issue with that is Thermite and Thatcher require team synergy to preform well, and if you're solo queuing then chances are your team mates are going to be solo heroes or constantly ignore requests. I find that being able to sufficiently get 1-3 picks on your own both boots team morale and hinders enemies more efficiently, and it also makes friendlies more likely to listen to you because you're not on the bottom half of the score board.

This fucking game. I had 3 rounds where i made 5 clear headshots on 5 different enemys and none counted. Also 20 bodyshots on none moving fuze and he had 100 hp.
