It's extremely more visible in WoW because it's simplified and retarded theme park nature. Everything is so clear that you can't really miss a single activity, everything is spoonfed to you. It's just extremely boring to the point of nausea unless you are autistic person or otherwise special. Game is more of a chore than entertainment which challenges you. You might as well as scrub your toilet and that's ultimately much more rewarding than this game.

There's literally no need to do daily heroic or EVERY AP quest. You can do missions on your phone and it's faster. Nobodies forcing you to do that grindy shit. Mythic+ is obviously grindy but world quests, don't need to do em as much.

The irony of the game for which you pay monthly fee is that I cannot even wear that legendary. I don't mind grinding 500k resources but don't fucking make me to wait for something what I already have in my inventory. I'm really curious how 7.1.5 will turn out for you. I cancelled my subscription. I tought about it for a while earlier but now I realized it doesn't make any sense for me to pay a monthly fee for a game which really isn't even a game any longer. Vanilla hunters are much better designed than present day. Stutter step, mana management and deadzone provide much more compelling gameplay. Its probably the only class I can say that with regard to vanilla classes vs current ones. Maybe lock too.

Do people still do that? Are you really that bad with gold? I have been "paying" every month with the token since it was implemented and I never farm gold, so it's just what I make by accident. And that's still considering all the extra I have to spend on raids and mogs.

At this point I don't see myself dropping WoW even if I were to stop playing. I mean, it's free and I get to play with my friends, even if I just logged once a month it'd still be fine.

The Mana as their resource was fun IMO.
I am not a fan at all of the dumbing down of every class giving them all what is essentially a 0/100 resource bar which is either Rage or Energy with a different "theme".

It's nice to be able to play shitty and achieve a more reliable/controllable burst / burn, and be punished by being OOM later, versus having a boring endless tight cycle of RNG and procs with a base rotation with no control.

The class design of Vanilla wasn't perfect, no, but it was certainly better than what we have in Legion.

Tbh if you're any good there's no point in doing the AP world quests like ever. Mythic+ takes a lot less time and rewards a lot more AP, particularly if you're on a PvP realm, which might have some pesky flies annoying you on your WQs.

Daily heroic might be a good effort+time/reward, but only if you get a bunch of friends to go with you. If you're going to go through 3 100k DPS and a fresh 110 tank, Mythic+ will reward you more for your time (not to mention you might get good gear out of it as well).

I think the idea behind AP, titanforged and legendaries was good, but they were designed terribly, which is why it *feels* like a grind. I personally stopped caring after getting the 35th, I'm not going to grind for 0.5%, it'll just happen when it happens.

To clarify: groups doing N through LFG are made by people who just want it over with ASAP, it's pure farm, so they just want others with the same mindset.

Meanwhile, most people just farm H with their guildmates, so they'll usually get one or two more just to complete their group if they put it at LFG. In some cases, they might even be still progressing, which will only drive their requirements further down.

So the difference is one group is being formed with random people (more requirements) while also having more people queueing (good guilds won't bother doing N farms, so the players who want to do it will just PUG instead), while the other just wants to complete what they believe is a good core group.
