It has incredible production values, I agree.

The writing feels kinda poor, the overall progress of the game felt like sequel bait more than anything, and the multiple protagonists route, while a good idea, hurt the narrative way.

Murders and culprits were more memorable in KnS1, as did most of the characters really (Yaginuma was great here though, the only improvement I can think of).

Sure, S;G was better as a whole, but for a sequel, SG0 improved a lot of the background information, worldbuilding, characterization of some of the original cast (Mayuri and Moeka in particular) and the content itself was very nice.

Even the "worst route" (Gehenna or Kagari's, pick your poison) was still good, with Vega and Altair+Rinascimento being amazing and Twin Automoto being REALLY good.
