Playing DF off element is something only idiots do. If you get a GW dagger to start you're only using it when you already have elemental advantage. In 5 out of 6 fights you're not using your GW dagger as DF because it isn't the right element to begin with.

Harp lets a new player pick up SS and Spear lets new players use DI3 with HS and Bishop, for those elements without good spears. They're better choices earlier on. Dagger doesn't start to shine until you can do high damage with Hawkeye and then later Warlock. Not new player territory.

Harp is a total waste early on and superstar is a huge waste until you can actually deal some respectable damage.

Most newbies will want to use DF with arrow rain (yes, even off element) and pray their buffs land because they cant deal enough damage as superstar and really need the max attack debuffs to not die horribly. I really regret getting the harp first and would definitely recommend new players to get the dagger first and then work on the harp after.
