sorceress, after trying others the mobility is almost incomparable (im including climbing, and crossing gaps) and the controls feel really tight for all the skills I use, but thats probably more being used to the class combos

aesthetically the theme of the class is super spooky, and I personally like edgy things, the weapons are really cool too with amulet making it like you are fighting with your hands, and the scythe just being a nice big AoE weapon to compliment the amulets more precise and smaller AoE moveset

when you get the skilladdons, you can add a mana recovery to the skill Dream of Doom, it if hits a large group it should regen your mana pretty much 75-100%, when you get awakening your scythe has a life siphon skill on it, I still bring potions for pvp or if I'm lazy while grindan, but otherwise if I play smart they are unnecessary

I've been kind of put off by the game mainly because people say it's P2W but i've seen plenty of people here say its moreover just Pay-to-do-shit-faster. Can someone confirm this?

I'm also looking into it because the combat and gameplay really interests me, and I'm starting to get tired of WoW and Warframe and what not, saw the 7 day free trial so I thought i'd come check here first to see if its worth it.

Also if you can give some ideas of what the economy and what the community is like that'd be great. As well as if its popular at all.

Having to stop to loot every mob is chronically annoying. Yeah, you don't HAVE to do it, but how else do you make an income?

3-4 pets is essentially required, there's really no debating this.
You /can/ buy them with in game money for extremely cheap, but it's a massive RNG fuckfest headache if you go that route.

There's currently an event where if you log in for 14 days in a row you'll get a free penguin pet, then you can buy the rest for like $8 during the christmas sale that's going on, when they get put up.

Doing your daily grind buff is really the only thing everyone SHOULD be doing. Other than that it's up to you. Maybe you are trying for a certain xp% a day or you grind whenever it's night for that 50% xp bonus.

You probably need to use your energy for something every day. Need to do boss scrolls once a week, fragment scrolls maybe more or less often.

Are there any custom tweaks to improve the graphics? I override the anti-aliasing setting from nvidia control panel, it works really well but I'm not sure how it affected the framerate.

The thing about the ranger weapon is that its use is different then the other classes where awakening becomes their main force and sometimes swapping back into the primary weapon for some cooldowns or utility

You swap into the sword to get some hits off, but on its own its quite bad and really inefficient to the already insane clearing speed of the regular bow. The sword is mostly used for the dash and mobility. You can almost say its just straight up a statstick

ranger is boring class in pvp and pve regardless. reroll while you still can
they should've made the charge-up skills the theme instead of f-canceling, you literally skip a strong skill just so you can cancel it more efficiently

I tend to just spam will of the wind (with buffs from skill awakening), if I cba using a mana pot or I am out I do pinpoint canceling for some mana, sometimes shotgun to mix it up. if I am feeling really bored I might let lose a razor wind or a d.current but thats really inefficient on my part and shouldn't be done. Explosive shit shot also used a lot for positioning/speed/damage.

I usually go into sword mode for either poping guardian on CD or going by Breezy Blade/Wailing Wind/Elven Rage/Nature's Tremple for a pack or 2 and then going into bowmode again til they are all up.

Didn't get my ranger to 59 but I heard regeneration is pretty good too

wait what? I feel like shit using the bow, what am I doing wrong? I was using Will of the wind like most guides say, but that wasn't that amazing at all, compared to zerker whilwind or musa shit, or witch spells, so I ended up doing evasive shot and then space for the strong barrage of things that come out. But it's annoying because it pushes you backwards

Am I missing something? I have like 100ap, my weapon is +15 and I already did the same content with other classes with similar stats, and ranger is terribad for me.

I play the other way around. I enter with Breezy Blade -> Flow: Rushing Wind -> Vine Knot -> Waltz of Wind -> Breezy Blade -> Cold Blade for high damage against a strong monster, or dashing into a pack of mobs, or picking off strays with some of those skills. Cold Blade is, admittedly, not a great skill, but executing it gives me a second to reassess the situation and what cooldowns I have going on at the moment.

Whenever Flow: Rushing Wind is on cooldown I prioritize using Wailing Wind -> Flow: Tempest -> Elven Rage -> Nature's Tremble, or whichever one of those is off cooldown at the moment.

When both Flow: Rushing Wind and all my AoE skills are on cooldown I switch to bow and WotW -> shotgun until Flow: Rushing Wind is off cooldown again, at which point I dash back in and resume using Kamasylven sword skills.

I found when I broke my awakening weapon while grinding my grind speed suffered immensely being reduced to just the bow, so I personally can't see using bow primarily to be the better option for me.
