Really the problem isn't board space but deck space. You're way more likely to be fucked by a lack of followers than a lack of heals. Anyone who's played Elana should recognize that you don't need more help buffing your board, what loses the deck games is fast shit that kills you if you waste time and slow shit that can clear your cards before going for game. This card is designed to win a grindy midrange match up and Elana has 0 trouble stomping those at present.

You can play it similarly to Unleasher and just evolve it and swing face to pressure the opponent into killing it. I think it'll see play, random hurts but at 2pp you'll rarely lose out and Shadow has the right tools to control selection.

Not being able to attack non-wards doesn't seem to matter much considering Soul Conversion and you can threaten face with an evolve. Comboed with that other Shadow card, you can remove 2 enemy bodies while putting up a ward.

Somebody thinking about how to do a Nep deck here.

Looking at all the cards available, I've come to the conclusion there's no point trying to fuck your curve for Nep. Include Skull Beasts, include Cerberus, just accept the RNG fucking you on whether Nep decides to be Neptune or Nepgear on you.

A Midrange deck that simply includes the good last word followers seems optimal with the amount of enemy board removal available in last words now.

Balor, that 7-drop, and that new nurse.

I'm hesitant about including Mordecai with Nep since that means like 3+ 8 drops and taking a possible chance away from removal which might be more sorely needed than another body.

Balor is looking to be a guaranteed 3 of too so the deck's looking top heavy especially with the 7-drop.

I don't see Aggro decks running Nep so it's going to be a value deck probably. Nep will potentially nuke the enemy's board, drop some bodies, and give you four shadows and Nep herself at the very least. Lord of the Flies will be an affordable cut, but Cerberus will probably be an extremely tough decision.

She also potentially combos with the new gold if you drop it on 7, while you take away a Nep slot, you can get +3/3 on an ambushed ready to strike follower. Still probably won't run it though.
