If people actually end up using this they will recompress it over and over again because of the "duplicate file exists" thing that comes up when posting a new thread with the same image while the old one is still up. (The easiest way to get around that is to quickly open and save the image as a jpg)

Export it with 100% quality in the first place to mitigate this somewhat.

But either way, where did you get the base image you worked from? If you didn't have a png to begin with, you're already saving a lossy compression of a lossy etc.

The problem is I don't have the original png. I have a 3 MB version of the jpg from a few days ago here, but unfortunately filesize doesn't always tell the whole story: recompressing a poor quality lossy image can sometimes make the filesize go up, because you are effectively trying to compress noise.

What you can do is hang on to the .psd (or whatever) you've just made and try dropping in a lossless version of the graphic (if one ever turns up) as a layer behind your edits. If it's the lossless source of the version of the image you used, it will match up perfectly (obviously).

Are you serious, anon? If you are, I seriously recommend you join the forums, find a PBEM, and do an AAR based off of that game. A human opponent is much more worth and interesting than the AI, and would create a more authentic AAR.

Keep in mind that given a turn is equal to 1 day in-game, and the war start Dec 7th, 1941 and can potentially go into 1946, that's a long time. But, of course, most games end in 1944 or '45.

Not sure to the first question. As to the second, you could always mod in some genocide events for a certain phenotype portrait. Apparently it's possible through normal means, though, if you eliminate the cultures of those phenotypes. Some guy said in a previous /gsg/ thread about how he was playing a Reddit match and started to genocide all non-whites from the world. By the time they found out, it was too late, so they booted him out and reset the save.
