I was doing the 9.2.0 downgrade, I was at the installing firmware part. Everything seemed fine, but then suddenly everything blacked out and the 3DS rebooted authomatically. It says 9.2.0, but I dont know if it was the thing supposed to happen or if I am with a partial downgrade now
So, since I cant use Cubic Ninja anymore, I heard I need to use browserhax to relaunch the downgrader in order for it to download whatever file I still need.

However, here on the guide says ''Although a partially downgraded system may show 9.2.0 as the system version, you are not done. You must restart from the beginning of Section II and downgrade a second time to install any files that were not installed. browserhax will work for partial downgrades as long as you are using the recommended version of sysDowngrader, but you must replace browserhax_hblauncher_ropbin_payload.bin on your sd card with the one for 9.2.0 on your region (rename the downloaded ropbin to browserhax_hblauncher_ropbin_payload.bin)''

The old system doesn't lose the CFW when you system transfer. The transfer just moves the NNID and the games it has to the other system. The point of doing that is so you can move a dsiware game with a hacked save to another system allowing you to downgrade it. "Legit CIA" games are the ones that were released in system bundles. 11.0/11.1 systems are able to download and install them through waithax + FBI.

I'm just about done with setting up Luma, but I kinda fucked up the last step. I ejected the SD and opened Hourglass9, followed it up to Step 23, but my retarded ass forgot to reinsert the SD card before I hit save+reboot. Any fix for this, and is it a big deal? Those preinstalled games can be redownloaded from the eshop without an account if they are deleted. If you log in to an NNID or system transfer on to the system it gets linked to that account. Normally anything on a target system would be deleted during system transfers, so these legit cia games are handled a bit differently.

It can be a little complicated. Sega handled their Game Gear VC so it's fine. Nintendos NES VC is fucked but, GBA VC runs in a special firmware mode that runs the games natively, so it's perfect. Everything else can be ran in retroarch, Sega games run good in pico drive and genesis gx. There's also a special SNES emulator that's made for the OG 3DS that runs fullspeed, but it's name escapes me.

>All variations of sysUpdater, not just sysDowngrader, have a very small chance of causing a “soft brick” once the downgrade is complete and the device reboots. This will cause the system to boot directly to the Nintendo error screen instructing users to power off the device.

The reason for this is unknown, but can be prevented by performing a system format before downgrading. It seems to happen very often on systems with ambassador status or who have DSiWare installed.

Once this error happens, it can only be fixed by using recovery mode (boot holding A + R + L + Up on the D-Pad) to update to the latest system version.

As of the time this is written, the latest version (11.2.0) has completely blocked all software downgrading, and if someone encounters this error they will be locked out of any further downgrading unless they downgrade their NFIRM.

When I swap SD cards to one of my older ones, the faulty app is still there. If I restore my NAND to an older backup, would I be able to plug my SD card back in and continue playing my games or would I have to redownload all of them?

When you install taihen you'll have MolecularShell, which is a restricted filebrowser. Use it to install VitaShell, which is unrestricted.
Both VitaShell and MolecularShell transfer files to your PC with FTP

Then get MaiDump for installing Vita games and Adrenaline for PSP games.

To be fair, the official ps1 emu doesn't hold a candle to RA even in accuracy.

For example, it has lag and audio desync in Megaman Legends and straight up crashing in Suikoden II.

I don't know the current status of RA PCSXR but it should be preferred a majority of the time (as long as it's not broken).

If you used tinyformat you will want to restore the NAND that was dumped with dgtools instead of NANDmin to get your games and NNID back. The format makes the system think it's an entirely different setup and starts loading and saving game data to a separate 32 character ID folder in the Nintendo 3DS folder.

I just moved my backup band from the dgtool folder and did the same thing as in restoring. The band restore gave me 9.2 and the new nand put me back on 11.0 with all my games and dsiware etc. I also had 2 32 character ids folders etc.
