Why is Bronze a rank you can be placed into after placements?

Nobody deserves to be placed there straight up, it's a fucking endless hell of terrible matches filled with terrible people doing terrible things that is nearly impossible to escape from because wins and losses aren't something you can really control.

Bronze should be reserved for the shitters who long term play themselves down there while it gives a chance for the regular joe to fucking escape them.

The last question can also be answered easily, torbjorns shoes have a build-in couter measure for the fire his bears produces, they can actually absorb the heat and make him have his insane hammering speed. They transfer the heat to his altered muscles, which in return can use the heat to make him physcially faster.

Quick Play has no real matchmaking and favours just getting people into matches over much else.

You'll also learn that account levels don't mean that much. You'll find yourself with people with multiple stars who are at your skill level.

Just play compeditive if you are at least an average player, you'll get into games with people your skill level.

Mercy truly is a worthless character without her rez, which is overrated anyway. She has no other utility.

Why do people play her when:
>she's one dimensional; she can't heal and do damage at the same time like every other support

>she doesn't excel at any particular thing or have a gimmick that separates her from the other healers. Lucio has speedboost, insane mobility and AOE healing. Ana has biotic grenade (which works well with speedboost), sleep dart and great healing. Zenyatta has harmony and discord, which he can use at the same time, and he can do damage.
>most importantly: she's not fun to play as. Who likes being at the (no pun intended) mercy of their teammates to do everything? "I'm going to heal everybody and hope they can perform their roles," does not seem like an enjoyable playstyle.

Truly the worst support, and yet she is picked all the time. Whenever ask why we have a Mercy over the other healers, it's "But rez is so good!" every single time. Yeah, rez was great when she got it back every team fight. Now, it's nothing special at all. I'd rather win a team fight than lose and hope to get rezzed to fight again.

Who raised these people to think picking a fourth damage was good? That a Hanzo is a great pick alongside a Widow? When did doing what you want become more fun than winning? I just don't get it. They literally changed QP to be more like competitive while at the same time supplied people with the old QP as arcade mode, but no one gives a shit.

In the last 20 games I've had 8 different matches where I've lost at least one teammate due to quitting/connection (up to four in a some cases).
