It's the same doom and gloom that surrounds every big-name title release.
FFXV is, at its worst, a solid game (with some flawed design here and there). At its best, it's a fantastic game and a hell of a time.
In general, some of the dungeons could be better designed (particularly some of the late game dungeons which are unrelentingly punishing for no good reason at all), and maybe the ridiculous world size could've been compressed a tiny bit for less travel times, but it's got smooth and interesting combat with fun mechanics and engaging quests.

No time limitations. Day/Night cycle is 90% trying to force you to sleep with iron giants prepped to pound your ass if you're below level 35-ish, 9% hunt monsters that only spawn at night, and 1% that one dungeon that only unlocks at night.

Some quests will only advance by resting. For example, if you have Cid upgrade your weapons, you need to complete a quest and rest for him to finish it.

You can explore, grind, fish, etc at your leisure. There is no requirement to rest otherwise.

Ignis will often learn recipes by trying new food. He'll also get new recipes by finding cook books from stores, and some are scattered around in cities randomly too. He can also learn recipes by picking up new ingredients.

Hello there, I have played numerous mobile games with a trending system: Gatcha. I saw this reply on a ffbe pulling youtube channel ( jezz 289 pulls for elza , ): "they do this with everyone's account. I worked at a company that had a similar gacha system, every player is put into a pattern, depending on how many hours he spends playing, how much money he spends, etc. They don't know his account specifically but his account is probably in some sort of whale pattern. At first, I don't believe that Dev can control the rate towards account but from my own experiences, I can see what he had said might true. I got my gilgamesh in the same way he said. Can't claim that some companies might not do it but certainly some will. In japan, they have law protection for their customers. Dev needs to show the rate of getting rare reward or any of Gatcha relate system.

It's just a fancy visual to get you hyped. Your roll is determined long before that, it just occasionally presents a different animation.

FFI is a tad nonsensical, but here's how it goes.
2000 years ago, there were four fiends living in the temple of chaos. All of a sudden, a man name Garland is flung backwards from the future on the point of his death, slain by four warriors of light. Garland talks with the four fiends and agrees to a magical ritual: they will turn Garland into Chaos, the mighty magical lord of monsters, and Chaos will fling the four fiends forward into time to leech the elemental energies of the four crystals.
They do this, and the events of FFI occur as anticipated, with one exception: the Warriors of Light are struck down when they dive into the past. This allows Chaos to live a long and happy life with phenomenal magic power doing whatever he wants for however long he lives, 2000 years ago, all to happen again when Garland is sent back to the past.
In the events of the real FFI, the Warriors of Light strike down Chaos and the four fiends are not sent forward into the future. (Also they're dead. Warriors of Light killed them in the past too.) This breaks the time loop entirely meaning it did not happen, creating a world untouched by fiends.
Ultimately, the warriors of light did not "have" to go back and kill Chaos. There was no real advantage to it other than meting out justice for Garland nearly destroying the world by causing elemental imbalance. Killing the four fiends in the present was sufficient to save the world.

But there are no base 3*s better than those three units right now (and there arguably never will be).

I got 2 from an ELT run once and now I have 33 Sacred Crystals. He doesn't. The Garland who becomes Chaos was born a human and lived a human life in Corneria. Chaos does not become Garland again.

Kind of a misreading there. He says "I will be forgotten", that is to say, Chaos will.

Base 5* means that its a units lowest possible rarity, so lightning, luneth, gilgamesh, etc.

Likewise good base 4* units would be WoL, and refia.

I came up with an idea (which i dont claim to be perfect by any means) to make TMR farming entertaining but first, let me start with a quick recap of whats been discussed here (at least the posts ive read or recall):

TMR are meant to be late game rewards
TMR are meant to be hard to achieve to make us spend lapis to pull copies of units
TMR as of now benefit the use of macros
10000 runs or 5000 runs on ES (someone suggested an event that would result on that) is boring and expensive anyway in terms of lapis (energy refills) and real life time.

It doesnt matter how you look at it, TMR is heavy grind, heavy cost for your pocket and sanity, requires a lot of time and is ultra boring. This is what needs to be changed.

What cant be changed is TMR being late game rewards, hard to achieve and smthing that encourages players to spend lapis (feed Gumi to keep game alive).

Here goes the (suggested) fix:

A weekly weekend-only chamber: Kupopó Ritual
Introduction of new item: Moogle Dust/Poo/Pee (whatever)
Introduction of new item: Moogle Whisp

Simple right? Here goes how it would work:

The chamber would cost 5,10 or 15 energy per run.
No friends help
All units have 25% chance of increasing TMR by: 0,2% (5E), 0,3% (10E), 0,4%(15E) per run
Event units have 25% added chance. Those units change from week to week and are not necessarily from current banner
Each run has a mission, completing the mission gives one Moogle Whisp: give the Moogle whisp to a unit to increase TMR by 0,1%

So I just finished XV's main shit and boy did it run out of steam towards the end. It felt rushed. Nothing made any sense unless you did your homework prior to playing this fucking thing and even then it fell to shit. Players have 5 free runs per week
After those 5 runs, players have to use Moogle Dust to refresh the chamber for 5 use/refresh.
The cost in dust to refresh the chamber scales after each refresh
You get dust by selling lvl max units (you would have to choose: for gold or for dust)
You get dust everytime you do 10+1 lapis pull and 500 lapis pull (daily pulls do not count, maybe tickets shouldnt either)
You can buy Moogle Dust in the store.

Notice that the addition of this chamber would:

Make the grind of TMR faster.
Make players choose between gold and Moogle Dust (is not bad as of now we have plenty of gold)
Make players think where to spend their energy: in the Kupopó Ritual or in the cactilions/megacites/gold chambers. The addition of this chamber increases the value of energy.
Discourage the use of macros, as completing each time the mission grants an additional 0,1% TMR
Make the grind less boring, because the mission changes after each run, the stage feels a bit different hence making it less boring.
Make players likely to spend more lapis for a number of reasons: more energy is required overall, the expensive pulls now give an additional resource (cause Moogle Dust is, in practice, a resource) and also Moogle Dust packages would be valuable enough to be bought in the shop.

Technically speaking, Garland now cannot be sent to the past, because the four fiends 2000 years ago who would pull him backwards are dead. Corpses can't do time magic, so Garland, if he does his kidnapping shenanigans, will merely die in the chaos shrine with nobody to save him.
Though FFI's epilogue implies he's not going to do that this time around, for whatever impossible reason.

Highwind's an ATK/MAG Breakdown so it'll stack with Full Break and Power/Magic Breakdown.

Entrench is a party Crit Rate up which goes really well with Boostgas like Shout or what have you, plus it's got built-in Retaliate if you want to use Snow as a Lure Knight.

It's not the absolute best pull you could have ever made but it's pretty decent I'd say.

I think a mp team with anything other than Ninja, Mage, Whitemage, and Knight is a waste of time. Mage removes orange bar and deals damage, Whitemage and Knight try to keep the party alive and Ninja breaks. There's really no more efficient team, I think.

What changes should i consider making to my A team. I have 10 total bsb and 1 osb.

I started off with Lightning/Charlotte/Garland/Kefka during the Lightning Banner with future 6* Charlotte and one of the best TMR Ludmille. And now I have in addition to Lightning/Charlotte/Garland/Kefka, Cecil(IV), Exdeath/Firion(gold from Halloween banner), Refia and Vaan(III banner), Tilith and Hayate(BF banner), Bartz/WoL/Agrias(V banner).

The only future banners I might consider rolling on is the VI banner with Terra and Setzer and the X banner for Rikku and the III banner with OK since that is a very long time off so that I can get a shitton of Lapis and Tickets for that banner. Might also roll on the Blanc banner for Amelia the Arena Queen as well.

You reroll by making a dummy face book and linking your first (provided its a shit roll) BE to it. Than you simply in the options and select log out of face book and start again. When you get an account you like link it to your main facebook (or another dummy one if you dont want to) and stay logged in to it. Go through tutorial, rinse, repeat.

Gilgamesh is fine but ideally you want Gilgamesh/Exdeath since they are both on banner and both of them are great units to start off with. If you get a Bartz or Faris alongside that you have an excellent start.

You just burn up the tickets and all of the free lapis+starting Lapis you get on the V banner and see what you get with that. If you fail to pull a Gilgamesh, reroll and start over.

And no, it isn't possible to roll a Lightning from the banner since she doesn't have a rate up yet, though it is possible to get her off-banner. Wait until tomorrow/Wednesday to find out if the XIII banner part 2 will have her/Hope/Fang in it.

I don't think there's any canonical established limitation. They go as high as is necessary. Consider them to be less jumping and more spear-navigated flying.

This. This ff5 banner is the best so far to pull on for starters. Gil and Exdeath are going to be cemented on the top tier list for a long time. Bartz is real decent too and Faris is not the worst full breaker. No tank and healer on the banner but they arent the top priorities when first filling out a team.

I might end up running a WoL/Cecil/Refia/Lightning/Exdeath team in the Arena when WoL 6* arrives so that I get access to that AoE Arms Erase for that 45% debuff to ATK/MAG and Bladeblitz Golem Cane/Thorned Mace or Sleep Sword/Dagger combo with DW.
