People hate comic characters appearing in anything besides the comics for ultimately retarded reasons.

It's complicated, the comic tries to show that WIly has a good side he sometimes has to fight against to remain convicted in his evil. His relationships with Light is... complex. They act like spurned lovers.

But this comic takes place well into the future of the Mega Man series, since Wily uses the Chaos Emeralds to move his timeline forward so he'll have more knowledge and resources, since at the time in the comic he has lost almost everything except a giant untrustworthy ancient space supercomputer. So by that time, Mega Man had already tried to kill Wily, so there's not a lot of reason for Wily to show such mercy anymore.

That's a bit of a blanket statement, he doesn't hate AoStH, just dismisses it as silly kiddy stuff. Which is fair enough, though he doesn't really discuss the later episodes such as those done by TMS which were actually pretty decent.

As for SatAM, I honestly think he's blinded by nostalgia because even if you like the show 'Too good' isn't exactly what I'd call it.

At any rate, I think we should all know Doug has rather bad opinions, and worse still, he thinks he actually has a good point. Not to say he can't be right but that he's a person who greatly overestimates his own cleverness.

The problem is that Sally reboot and Sally pre-boot are total inversions of each other.

Before the reboot Sally was a capable and confident leader. She was sure of herself and her abilities in the field, but her personal life was a fucking mess with romance and her family issues. All character conflict for her came from external sources.

Sally in the reboot has those flipped. Her personal life is completely stable; no stupid family bullshit and absolutely no romance whatsoever. She has a core group of friends that like her and is general supportive of her. Instead, she's far less sure of herself as a leader, constantly second-guesses herself, and blames herself for fuckups that really weren't her fault. All character conflict in the reboot is internal.

So if you hate royal family drama and soap opera shit then you're going to hate Sally in the old continuity, but if you think too much internal drama makes her a weak character than you're going to hate Sally in the reboot.

Other than the totally-legitimate IQ400 attack from Sonic Battle, Tails has been stated quite a few times to rival Eggman. After SA2, Tails and Eggman's skills and abilities intellectually and stuff are unquestionably comparable to each other.

i've been playing a lot of Earth Defence Force lately which features huge battles with giant enemies https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gyWznuIcTSQ
i think that sonic could be a lot of fun if they seriously upped the enemy count to similar scales and making the game more combat focused where you're speeding around in large open levels destroying armies of eggmans robots. of course momentum physics and a lot of ramps/slopes should be in the game. this would also make the inclusion of sonics shitty friends add to the game since they would work as different classes with the same core gameplay. it would bring back the spectacle that has been missing since the adventure era without making it dark and edgy while also moving the series into a new direction instead of "innovating" by adding a new gimmick
