Where is the best place in the game to look for solo pvp fights? It definitely isn't any of the lowsec regions cuz ill spend 40m going thru caldari and galente fw space and its either all dead or full of giant gangs.

The reason why there are so many profitable ventures still available in this game is that most players don't care about the market, and treat it like an npc store.

CCP have stated this over and over in multiple fanfests. While market pvp'ers make up most of the activity, they make up a minute portion of the player base. And it gets to a point where many just quit the game because they amassed a huge fortune and just get bored.

Alpha clones can easily do this. Profitable station trading requires skills only open to omega clones.

Brave Newbies. They started out as a corp that accepted anyone who applied, were led by a new player and quickly grew to become one of the largest corps in EVE before imploding when they moved into sovnull because their leadership was terrible. They're still around but not as huge as they used to be.

EVE is like real life. The amount of people you want depends on your goals in the game. At a certain point there are massive diminishing returns on having a MORE NUMBERS type of mentality. In EVE, historically speaking, the "Deaths" of major alliances have been 100% because of a loss of identify from taking in too many allies and watering down your community/family.

You need a reason to fly with the people you fly with. There's a lot of shit in EVE that isn't fun, like at all, but its shit that needs to get done. When your alliance is super watered down with random fags then when shit goes down it becomes almost unavoidable that your alliance cracks from a "Well its not "my guys" getting attacked right now" mentality and it keeps people from logging in when they're needed.

The reasons goons are strong, the reason they'll be back, is because they're goons first before EVE. The reason Russians are strong and always will be is because Russians are Russians before everything else in EVE.

We don't have large groups like Reddit or SA because regardless of what some people might say 4chan is way less of a hive mind than a lot of those communities. People here often have widely different mentalities, goals, dispositions, political opinions, nationalities etc.

We don't have massive banners where we can say JOIN THE 4CHAN ALLIANCE TODAY! in a big old 4chan banner.

We have no leadership and most people that are anons have an independent mentality. They're outsiders in real life, or they're normies and 4chan is their little secret that they keep to themselves.

A community that favors Independence, anonymity, and self reliance is the primordial opposite of the conventional EVE alliance.

You want Drones that log in when told to, that help new players, that follow direction from leadership.

I actually came back and tried to log in 30+ minutes later and it worked. I have no idea what changed but I was actually able to play again. I found my ship still sitting in the same asteroid belt at full health with pirates locked on and circling me. I guess they have a built in safe guard if you DC where rats can't hurt you. Horde and Waffles are not corps you join if you have a lot of respect for yourself. They're basically second class PL citizens. You join them to get some sort of content and to let a little bit of the "prestige" of PL rub off on you and to have the confidence that if anything goes REALLY tits up PL MIGHT come to help you.

They WILL bully you for mining in your Venture instead of losing ships for their cause, you WILL get farmed by half of EVE and no one will help you when you're tackled in a belt. They'll just make fun of you on comms for being a miner.

Think twice before you apply to Horde, Waffles or Pancakes. There are many corps in EVE that value their members and don't just treat you as disposable and taxable cannon fodder.

Lowsec fucker here. Just finished probing the entire system, and only three moons stood out to me; One Tech moon (someone's already harvesting), one Chromium moon, and one that has both Scandium and Vanadium (Reaction). Because of those dank lowsec boosts on industrial complexes. System next door has an industrial complex and is charging 12% tax on "Highest refine in highsec" and has industry and refining in two separate citadels.

Not to mention that the area is quite...favorable for a lowsec industry system. Highsec ice nearby, a few jumps from L4 missions, a little further for a market hub, and one pocket of space nearby is just full of scannable signatures at pretty much all times.

It's one of those places where you could get a fairly sizable industrial corp in and just do work on the market. It's also within JF range of Jita.

Well with 9 miners you can clear out an entire system of ore in a single day. Sitting in one spot doesn't work, you have to move around and essentially crop rotate between systems.

There's fags that set up public citadels hoping to get free passive ISK from miners refining in their stations. They would leave me alone for a week or so until they never noticed revinue coming in. They'd always contact me trying to get me to refine in there citadels. I'd explain to them that I just compress the ore and haul it myself. They'd then try and buy my ore and offer to haul it, offering deals like 10% below jita ore price (non compressed). Compressing ore is like a 10% increase in profit alone so the difference would be around 20%, obviously a shit deal considering a single impel can haul 1.6 bil of ore easily by itself in a single trip with virtually no risk. I'd politely refuse their offer and they'd hire campers. I'd then leave my corp and continue my operations storing ore in stations instead of compressing in a PoS while mining. Sometimes they would continue agression and I'd switch to procurers, a massive pain in the ass in highsec before because one laser is a bitch to manage when asteroids have 2 cycles worth of ore on average (6000 m3). Yes you have to compete for territory in highsec and its a massive bitch. In nullsec it can be far worse though. If someone wants to stop you from mining there is basically nothing you can do against organized cloaky camping on an alliance level.

Correction, we're discussing the best way to be a space miner living out the space miner fantasy. Best money is trading, but traders spend their money on making more money, if you take money away from that then your hurting your potential profits. Most successful traders die inside when they take money out to plex their account or do PvP, its wasted money that could be more profits. In that sense the money made from trading is as irrelevant as the money made from mining because you aren't using it to "have fun".

Ratting, exploring, and incursions are the best ways IMO to make money if you play EVE for conventional in space PvP because they don't require infrastructure and and the money is roughly direct effort to income.

PvPing in EVE actually doesn't take that much money. Most people can't even find fights worth risking ISK in let alone losing a bunch of expensive ships back to back.

The only time I've ever seen a successful Hulk mining setup was with Titan shield boosts.

Everything I've done Skiffs are a luxury and Procurers were the primary workhorse.

The loss in ISK/hour was worth the reduced risk for me. At a peak I had 13 miners. I'd assign 45 hob II's to my main and use him to target paint rats while mining. I'd deposit ore into a deployed enormous freight container and make hauling trips with a Miasmos pilot.
