To be somewhat fair to the remake, it has some side stories that you can read after clearing the title.

I think it's the better version overall since the voice acting and new non-crap music improves the experience a lot.

Also, as far as I know, Aqua after wasn't included because the author doesn't like it. It seems to be a polarizing fandisc anyway, with a lot of people on /jp/ preferring the original ending.

in that it's just a phrase people say a lot. There's not really anything deeper to it than the text itself, when someone says something you don't know you say なにそれ?おいしいの?, the humour is you are mistaking something that's not food as food.
The only real difference between the TL and the Japanese is that the Japanese reader would recognize it as a set phrase that's said a lot whereas the English read would not.

It's a little gimmicky and there aren't any real choices (it's the usual CLOCKUP fare of 'pick same girl every time else bad ending'), but there are plenty of hot sex scenes, and that's likely all you were hoping for anyway. The plot is stupid in the way it escalates into sex scenes, but nowhere near as stupidly as I was expecting it to.

Almost always being able to choose where you cum is pretty cool too.
