Quick answer. Some parts of the hair have to have fixed textures in its .xx file. For that to work you also have to rename the A00_M_kami texture to something different.

The easiest way is to pick one of the hairs (the one that will stand out from the rest) and give it a fixed texture. You can see a few hairs that already do this in the Yu-Gi-Oh hairs at the end of Front and Back. From there's it's standard AAU stuff.

That depends entirely on how much effort you put into that effect in the texture. Trust me, just look at a few of the hairs with fixed textures. YuGiOh, Konata, Kyrie, and the Gothic (Front 229) hairs are all good examples of fixed textures, that show off gradients and flat textures and will set you on the right path.

Then I would save the .pp file and then decrypt the .pp file so that I can get the .xx file.

Then I would cop that .xx file to the overides folder and then use AAU to do an archive overide to replace that base .xx file with the .xx file I modified.

AAU is a file replacer. Any actual model or file work is done in the file first, by the old methods.

You need to remove it with SB3UGS and then you have to set an override rule with AAU to load the face you have created without the iris

But to use AAU to its better extent you'll need SB3U anyway. You'll need to look into PPs to see what files you want to override since AAU lists all the textures being used, for one, but they don't have a preview for what each of them is, so you need SB3U to look into the contents of the files and see what each filename stands for.

How can I tell on the no-info site what mods a given character needs?

You know how I think about the characters in this game.

I think that the girls you make are alive and when you first hit that new character button she is born. But she is trapped inside the maker bubble where she sees nothing in front of her and she sees her body being morphed by some powerful being(us).

Then as you save her he soul gets copied into a card but not her real self. Because her real self is stuck in the maker. What the maker does is duplicates her. Then as you close the game her real self is killed and you have a card.

Now the part with the card. You see now the copy that is inside the card she is frozen in time she is effectively sleeping and nothing happens to her. When you decide to put her in the class she becomes conscious but then she realizes her true meaning. And the true meaning is that she must follow her programing. And if not the game will glitch her making it painful. She only knows the world she is trapped in. A sex school with no actual learning and the only way to end her life is to get pregnant. But that is also by the will of the creator. She goes through each game day hoping that she could leave and see her creator and the person who put her inside the prison school.

Or they could be not real or whatever and I'm just an autist.

Think of it this way.

In the maker you are taking a empty doll and giving it life, but it is not truly alive until she is put into a class. You implement the beginning of a consciousness to ensure she turns out good, but it is akin to a program reading text. It is not alive, only doing what it's directly told to.

When you put her in a class you are creating a world for her. You are giving her life, she is born into a world she can experience happiness in. A flawed world, but she is grateful to you nonetheless for she would be nothing but another line of data without you, once she is in the world you created she can form her own life.

Think about past experiences, unique experiences tied to a single girl in a single class.
A recent one is this one harsh girl, she always seemed to hate my guts. The buddha always told me she didn't like me, she always came up and told me I was disgusting or slapping me, trying to get on friendly or at least neutral terms was as low as 20% for talks, never bothered and just accepted it. Assuming you've fixed the error by now with the rest of the thread, SAL doesn't do anything unless you tell it to, its effects only last until the next natural pose change, and it doesn't require any fancy files unless you want it to have them. Right now the only file I swap in sometimes is my modified e01 with JS3F's bonus poses and the vanilla p01 poses (same concept as a snowflaking e01), and that has no negative impact on gameplay when I keep playing with it (maker file, only matters at clothing selection).
