Another question for you roleplayers, but does your persona actually reflects your character at the very least?

Are you a boring person who only roleplays certain roles because you are unable to do otherwise since you haven't achieved anything in-game? Have you?

Most don't care what the character actually is, and will commonly do RP on Lv 1 alts, but in my opinion, mains usually make it a lot more interesting. Not just clothes options, prestigious titles/fc tags/gear, or classes leveled, but a sense of "time spent" on the character.

What are your measures for worth on a character? Classes leveled, raid gear, or a big social circle?

It is, due to the abundance of melee dps players. It'll be much quicker for you to find a static or pugs in PF as a bard or mch. Usually people are perfectly happy to have one or the other since there aren't that many.

If you get really good at both, you'll be golden. But either one is good. BRD is more of a dot and cooldown management job, and mch is a burst inside of your wildifre and then fish for procs kind of job.

No server locks but if you make an eu or na account you have to make sure you buy a copy of the game for the correct region.

Servers are based in Montreal for for aether and primal, Chaos is in europe (Germany?) and the rest are jap servers so who cares.

Servers are specific to a region, and grouped by data center. Aether and Primal are US, Chaos is EU. If you're playing with a friend, try to end up on the same server.

There's no difference between EU and US versions, just make sure to buy an EU license if you're EU or US if you're US, etc.
